Hard to put a value on experience and networking to get the job done. On the other hand, I’ve seen people start to mentally decline even in their 50s based on their life choices earlier in life. Tough row to hoe. I guess COVID is our equalizer.
I raised my hand at your comment "even in their 50s," LOL. As a friend of mine says, "I'm paying now for the drugs I did in the 70s... Spoiler and the 80s... Spoiler and the 90s.
It's never too late... maybe. Reminds me: weird friend was talking about how she wants to get a bidet. Her: "you know, like... if you're playing frisbee and it lands in dog poo, you don't just wipe it off and keep playing, do you?" Me: "first of all, yes I do, but more importantly, nobody -- and I mean nobody -- is playing catch with my sphincter, so the analogy is DOA."
I did not expect upon entering that this thread would leave me wanting to do drugs, but I guess that's ClutchFans for ya!
Reminds me of how my dog intentionally rolled in poop once. No wiping it off or a bidet for that sh*t.. But yes, would've never been able to connect the dots between the game of frisbee and a use of a bidet. Now I know! Ps. For the record, I like discussing this topic in Grassley's thread. I hope he makes it through ok and retires.
Republicans have all shown their true colors in this pandemic, that's for sure. They don't give a damn about anyone getting Covid from their blatant disregard for human life. Two fine examples are the Governors of North Dakota and South Dakota. They now have the #1 and #3 highest Covid mortality rates in the world.
Good point. TBH I think people can even slip in their early 30s. I lost touch with a good friend for ~6 years and when we reconnected he was noticeably slower on the uptake and his memory, which was very good before, was lagging. He was heavy into the club/swinger scene and did a lot of drugs in the interim. He was still sharp and his charisma was off the charts so he got things done but it certainly affected him.
I agree with just about everything. However their constituents are paying attention. Well they aren't but thats another issue
