I couldn't careless if jrue's numbers were as high. he's not the type of player that wants the ball in his hands the entire time like westbrick. He's just the better player at this point for the modern nba which is why hes much more coveted

Im hoping we get a star player to build with, but definitely want enough draft picks to be in position for Emoni Bates in a few years

His contract amount lol $26 million versus $40.1 million this year, $27 million versus 44.2 next, and nothing the next versus $47 million the last year.

Also Jrue is 30 versus Russ being 32.

Russ is not twice as good as Jrue and Russ' game is 100% athleticism which does not age well during this monstrous contract.

No argument Russ is the better player today, but it's the albatross of the contract, his athleticism decline, poor decision making and attitude about having to be the man that makes Jrue more valuable. Russ is not getting better each year, but he's getting paid more.

Not important. Rebounds and assist can be super inflated.
Your definition of "better" needs to be more clear.
Who is the better 1vs1 player? Westbrook.
Who is the better 1st option on offense? Westbrook.

But those are meaningless. Austin Rivers is a better one on one player than Covington but does it matter?

The only question that should be asked is. Who is better interms of team success.
    Its unquestionably Jrue Holiday.

The Simmons offer sounds like it is there on the table. Rockets are stupid for not taking it and I don't even like Simmons that much.

Value and fit is different than better player.
I agree he’s overpaid and doesn’t fit on every team. Neither does Jrue.

But if they were paid the exact same thing, Westbrook would be the choice.

It’s be sweet to get a big enough haul to scoop up him and Chet Holmgren in the same draft
