Let's get in the majority before the draft and see who the Clutchfan favorite is.

Listed choices are generally high-upside and will be around the mark for #16.

Public poll. Closes in 7 hours.

Taking Precious Achiuwa at all would be a huge mistake.

I hope we trade up for Hayes.

That being said, I don’t know jack sh*t about this draft what so ever, I spent 10 mins looking at a mock board. Hayes just looks neat.

Lol, if you've been around a while. You may have found, we've had several threads leading up to draft night. Yes, even one getting consensus, and yes, even on the Texans forum here too. We just haven't had a pick in who knows how long. Chill bro.

I guess him being a 21 yo freshman and the following with him likely being a bottom of rotation skillset on offense.

SUMMARY: Achiuwa is an interesting player, albeit a situational one. To get the most out of him, teams are going to have to have very strong developmental infrastructure that can work with him offensively. He has some skill with ballhandling and some fluidity of movement, but he’s just not there in terms of decision-making and shooting for where he needs to be. Having said that, if a team can work through those offensive concerns, Achiuwa’s defensive upside is genuinely very high-level. His motor, athleticism, and size allows him to make a genuine impact on that end, and his versatility in role and position could allow him to be able to be a valuable player. There’s a world where he can close games at the 5 due to his switchability and rim protection, and that’s a very rare skill for bigs in the modern NBA that every team is looking for. That’s why Achiuwa should be a first-round pick: the scarcity of what he can do if he keeps improving is real. It’s also what pushes him a level ahead of some of the guys he’s ahead of here like Jalen Smith, Zeke Nnaji, Daniel Oturu, and others. Still, there is some real downside. I’d be stunned if Achiuwa didn’t at least stick in the NBA because of the motor, but he could be more of a bottom-of-the-rotation type if the offensive skillset doesn’t improve.

GRADE: . Second half of the first round

    Take the 7 foot unicorn.

Swing for the fences and take Poku.

He is a project but he would be amazing complement for either Harden or Simmons.

Rockets can find traditional 5's much more easily than a 7 footer with Poku's guard skills, switchable D and guard skills.

I think we are targeting Daniel Oturu at the end of the first.

Rockets can get a similar guy in 2nd round in Paul Reed.

Reed is actually longer and has better 3ball.

Precious is 6'7 barefoot, sounds like Faried.

I think Silas might be able to help him. He is 21, but that’s not too bad at all. If he wasn’t athletic, I would say forget him.

    Precious plays defense unlike Faried.

There are similarities between Reed and Precious. Reed might fall, but he may go as high as 20. If we can get Kira Lewis Jr and Paul Reed, I will be satisfied, provided if Stone can get a second 1st rounder from Boston. Aleksej might have the highest upside but he is skinny. I’m open to taking a gamble with him. I want a big, more than a guard. I will be happy with Jalen Smith as well.

KD was skinny too, just saying.

So was Giannis, Bosh, Garnett, etc.
