There is no roll of the dice. You are guarenteed to Crap out. That team you posted have 4 players with half a foot on retirement. Thats a bottom 5 team in the NBA. Good Lord this aint 2015.

Harden would carry 4 gleaguers to the second round.

That’s why Rafael is so smart. It was a good leak to a reliable source to drive the price up. If it doesn’t go up, get Wall+ #9 for Russ. The idea here is to rehabilitate Wall’s trade value like OKC did for CP3, and flip it. Many last year thought CP3’s contract was the worst in the league, and yesterday he netted 2 starters and a 1st. Stone’s good.

Exactly right. Wall is a reclamation project. It all depends on what they send back to us with Wall. If he plays well, bonus...

    For everyone that liked this (@Why not? @HTown_TMac @Rockets FTW @joshuaao @raining threes @Amel @Big Fuzz @matchesmalone @RudyTBag)

Why do you think the Wizards would part with a pick 7 spots higher + a good young player for the 16th pick and Westbrook?

Like, if you were Washington, why would you pull the trigger on this trade?

A team with healthy Harden would never be bottom 5 team in the NBA, are you kidding

This is crazy, only a nut case would want Wall with his injuries. I would like the 9th pick, but it's still too risky. The Ro-co/ Ariza plus picks was interesting.

Sounds perfect. If he's fine, he can take another swing with Harden. If he gets injured again, a dead 40M per year for Wall might just force Tillman to sell. Win-win.

I don’t know. The idea makes me miserable.
Not Fertitta selling the team. Everything else.

If Harden somehow doesn't get traded is this video a preview of our team? This happened 2 weeks ago, I wonder if Harden asked for wall and ariza

John Wall will be injured half the season. I doubt he'll be the same player he was.

I've said it before but if we "rebuild" and come out on the other side still owned by Mr. Fritatta then it's all for naught. Every star will leave and no one will sign here. No one wants to work for a megalomaniac. Gotta endure the pain for a bit in order to heal long term.

They seem to forget the season before last that Harden basically took a G League team to the playoffs. We had no Paul, Capela, Gordon for a combined total of 45 games. We were 11-14 and near the bottom. Harden had to carry the load. No other superstar in the league would have done that.

In other words, if you have Harden in your team, you're making the playoffs. He's that good of a player.

Harden clearly wants out. That is pretty much stated by every reputable insider. I doubt Wall or the shell of what Ariza was will entice him to play under Tillman. That bride has been burnt to the ground

Because Wall has been an embarrassment to my team. When he’s supposed to be at home recovering from one injury he’s out acting a fool injuring something else. He’s a black hole contract and a distraction on the bench forcing the team into a constant purgatory waiting for him to return trying to stay as competitive as possible. Do we tank? We can’t... Beal will leave. It’s been this way for years. He’s been a ghost in this organization for years...

I make this deal to upgrade from a corpse on a bad contract to an all-NBA player on a bad contract. It’s a no-brainer for me. This draft is not deep. There is little variation in talent from 9 to 16 this year. Rui is the only hold up for me but I just watched Miami go to the finals after adding 1 disgruntled vet piece that shined and changed the entire team culture.

Honestly I think the more realistic route is a future protected first (like top 4 protected in 2022) along with Wall and #9 for Westbrook and #16.

We lose anyway. We won’t recoup what we gave up for him and Wall isn’t going to stop being a corpse or having a bad contract.
