Ok, I guess you mean when Simmons came out of college with an injury. After that has pretty much healthy.
    17/18.......81 games
    18/19.......79 games
19/20.......57 games (most teams played about 71 regular season games)

    Super excited for this pick.

This draft “sucks” as they say... because of it’s clear obvious top end talent.

strangely I think it’s heavy in talent 10-20. Not in there will be definitive HOFers but I think there’s a lot of guys that could go in that range and be solid nba contributors. There are a few I’m not high in too. So have to draft smart.

I’d go with best player available and avoid the types line Poku where his 5% upside case is amazing but his 95% more lowly case is “ok” in 3-4 years or worse.

I still value upside ... but at this place in the draft in more of a Kawhi, Pascal , Klay type mold....

... if you know what I mean...?

The latest subluxation of the patella should be okay by now, but it all adds up.

I fear more Harry Giles or Noel frame getting hurt more than Simmons. Just me personally.

Definitely. Giles is fragile. Noel is light too. I would like to see Simmons playing a few games, before pulling the trigger, if Morey still wants Harden desperately.

If we got Simmons we’d need a 3PT shooting C, Baynes would be a good target.

I don’t like the top of this draft because there is too much uncertainty. I think Ball will be an all star in time but the kid from Memphis isn’t mentally tough to be a franchise player.

I do think there is a lot of value in the 8-20 range of the draft. A lot of busts but there also will be a few really good players emerge and I suspect a near franchise player. A lot of well regarded prospects with some warts (Anthony, etc) and some guys with the size and tools that just haven’t put it together.

Someone will fall. I think the long fluid 4 (Poku) will be gone by he time the Rockets pick if his medical is clear. He has a high bust factor (80-90%) but his upside is as a top 10 player in the league. He isn’t Giannis (who was a physical freak), he isn’t as explosive or as good a leaped as Porzingas is, but he is more fluid than either and can easily move laterally and he can shoot and put the ball on the floor. Someone will take a chance on that.

The Rockets don’t have to draft a star at #16 but you want to at least get someone long term in your rotation or has a high boom/bust opportunity.

Yeah man, Poku has that intrigue. Like you said, can be elite. But probably more likely to bust. What if, is a drug.
Been a while since we could say that about a draft for the Rockets

If we trade russ and james, we can use a bucket getter. I'll take any of lewis jr, maxey, or anthony. At least they would be fun to watch next year.

Love Tyrell Terry. Reminds me of Trae Young a little.

I know he had a rough year, but I really think that Cole Anthony is about as sure a thing as there is in this draft that you might be able to get at 16. He’s got that tough New York PG mentality, and his old man was a dog so he’s definitely got the genes. Everyone has him free falling, but I’m not so sure he will actually be there when Houston picks. If he is, that’s where I’m going if I’m Rafael Stone. Too much potential there to ignore in my opinion.
