Everyone in this thread is forgetting that CP3's contract was untradeable...at the time. Dude was an aging PG who seemed like he couldn't get by even subpar NBA defenders. Couple that with getting injured deep into a playoff run, and there's a giant red flag. And THEN you can talk about the albatross of a contract. But for Phoenix, it's different. They needed a PG like CP3. A dude who is a generational PG that can unlock Booker and Ayton's potentials. They needed Also, CP3 has shown the ability to stay healthy this season (for the most part) and his contract isn't an albatross anymore. And he basically gets to play with Harden-lite and a Capela who's better on offense. AND they still don't have championship aspirations, so there's not that pressure on CP3.
No, that's not right. Westbrook = CP3 + 2 first rounders + 2 pick swaps CP3 = Oubre + Rubio + future 1st + Jerome Therefore Westbrook = Oubre + Rubio + future 1st + Jerome + 2 first rounders + 2 pick swaps THAT was what we paid for Westbrook.
Yep, got the picks on the wrong side of the equation. That's even worse!! (Reckon OKC will take WB back for those players and all those picks??)
And anyone questions why Morey left? After the CP3/Westbrook trade, Morey was scratching his head on how he ended up on the wrong end of the stick with the dumbest owner in the league.
Stop making excuses. Morey knew exactly what he had with CP0. While Tilman didn't slaughter the golden goose to feed the mutt, it wasn't too far off from this scenario. In Morey head, that trade set the team back a good year or two.
Phx gonna be good. I got Booker as a dark-horse (pun intended... dark not so much... horse yes) MVP candidate.
well its a good thing the rockets wouldn't have to play 48 mins of small ball with cp3. that's solely a westbrick problem
CP3 / Booker / Bridges / Jalen Smith / Ayton. That starting 5 has so much potential. Future is bright as heck.
Only team to go 8-0 in the bubble. Now they just added CP. I can see them finishing top 5 in the West this year.
