what do you honestly expect to get for James Harden? we are not going to get an impact player in return. the point of trading for a star is to put him next to stars you already have. the point of trading a star is usually rebuilding. young talent, picks, and cap relief. its all there. that offer SHOULD get Bradley beal but Washington does not want to rebuild since Wall is back and they can't move him at this time. our stars are older so it makes more sense to do it now. if you don't think its a good deal now it would be even less in a year or two. why would you want great pieces back anyway ? the picks we gave away are top 4 protected. we should go full tank mode if we do this so we can give ourselves a chance to keep them.
