Definitely not, with all these lowball offers for a 3rd-team all nba player who is a former MVP.

Harden doesn't want out anyways so I think he cares more about staying here than ring chasing. I think it's fine to let them both play out their contracts until Harden wants out.

I hope we can conduct a three way trade with the Pelicans. Pelicans take on hornets/Knicks young folks with draft picks and Rockets get Jrue and Reddick.

Both want out. Russ clearly wants to leave more. Harden won’t wait to see what they get back, time to blow it all up

The smart thing would be to hang on to him until he gets his trade value up. This would more than likely happen if we were to bring back the same group and added a competent 5. After he requested a trade, it's been chaotic. I think making a move right now would be a mistake.

The problem is Russ ain't gonna wanna play. He's probably going to be a distraction. He hates TF.

They should definitely trade him, but only for appropriate value. I don't like his playing style, I don't like him, but he is a recent MVP and could electrify the fan base of one of the teams longing for a real star.

I would trade him for a package of good role players that fit next to Harden

Russ is garbage in the postseason, and teams will always just ignore him to load up on Harden and kill our offense because he can’t shoot and is incredibly dumb with the ball in his hands

I'd take that Knicks trade in a HEARTBEAT. Replacing WB won't be that hard because we already have his replacement in Eric Gordon. Gordon plays his best when he's next to Harden in the starting lineup. Dennis Smith can come off the bench, and Julius Randle can be the smallball center we've been looking for. Kevin Knox can provide energy off the bench with Smith

Why should he hate TF? He brought him to Houston, and then traded Capela for Ro-Co. This gave WB a bigger role in the team.

"Plow forward"....until the right deal comes along.

Good counter piece to all the media's agenda laden garbage, put out in an attempt to drive down the price.

Don't quote me on this, but Russ and MDA/Morey were tight. They both left because of TF and not on amicable terms. RoCo was brought in because we couldn't have both Russ and Capela on the court at the same time, but also because RoCo is a better player than Capela. We had planned to trade for a C at the deadline, but it didn't go through so we essentially had no choice but to go small. They wanted to have at least the option of playing a traditional C when they needed to. Russ was gonna have a big role either with or without Capela.
James acting like he ain't a part of the problem isn't helping either.

    True.

Everything except for Ruffelles Stone came off impressive at his media day... that’s the only lie in the whole piece

Stone leaked this one. "Y'all don't know me but I'm not trading Westbrook for nothing. Desperate for star power lulz"

Get Russ healthy and averaging 27/7/7 again and after 20 games or so his value will go up.

Why didn't he check out TF before he came? Why he hates TF and James doesn't?

The only trade I would do is if we can get Paul George. To me that seems the closest to being a fair trade. Paul is not a ball dominant guard that needs the ball in his hands all the time and that works in Harden’s interest. All of these other trades we won’t get fair value for Russ. Its not worth it.

We should probably expect this feeling out period by other GMs. They’re trying to test Stone. Stone is either gonna cave and trade Westbrook and/or Harden for peanuts, or he’s gonna try to find the baddest mf’er in the room and steel him in the face just to set his tone to everyone else. Hopefully

Tillman doesn’t try to play hero in the process and lets Stone negotiate. Patrick too. Please Patrick, if you’re reading this, please go beyond House of Highlights and the like’s social media accounts to assess talent for the team.

What ever stone does I'm sure a lot of people are going to gripe about it. He is being dealt to make major decisions to either make capital for the future based on Morey experiment that turn great but short. If the rockets want to keep running it back, Harden only gets older and his trade value goes down, as well as Russ. But time will tell if Houston is only in this for James Marketing ability or rebuilding for the future. The easy thing to do is just retool around Harden, but it wont get you probably closer to chip. They done this for 5 years now. Harden had his chance to win with paul, and didn't get there.

Not saying he cant win in the future, but you look at these teams like Lakers,Clippers,Nuggets,Warriors, and possibly Dallas being ahead of Houston which puts us at 6th seed. I don't know, i might think moving him to rebuild is a good idea. But Houston all about the Regular season anyways, so obviously Russell and James are going no where and they run this same team to the ground with, now it will be 1st round exits every year with no roster additions until 2023. 610 wants to run it back, and add a big piece. Problem is there no Money. Now go ahead and hate me :)
