Wouldn't Philly be much better off letting Hill go for nothing? ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
If I were in Philly's situation, I would rather let Hill walk than accept Cato in return. ------------------ "I always thought it was something that went around my house" - World B. Free on Defence
We already have Power forwards that are better than Tyrone Hill and were also looking into better Pf. ex- Webber, Davis. I would doubt that the Sixers would resighn Hill and if they did they wouldn't trade him for Cato ------------------
Hill, aka "The Black Skeletor", is highly overrated in my opinion. Much of his success this season can be attributed to the fact that he played in the East. He would be consistently trampled having to face up against teams like LA, San Antonio, Portland, Sacramento, etc. on a regular basis. Let some other team make a move for him. ------------------ burp
I hope the Rockets don't get Hill. He scares me. He looks like one of the Zombies from the "Thriller" video. ------------------ "If you don't understand it, don't try to understand it." -Carl Everett [This message has been edited by Dogbelly (edited June 18, 2001).]
Once again, I must suggest that we trade Walt, Cato, and the 23 pick for Shaq. Looks good for both teams. ------------------ Protrolls.com! RITQAIOCLHTPFOTFWBPTD
http://www.bskball.com/Rumors.htm 06/18-TY HILL EXPECTED TO OPT OUT- Tyrone Hill had a very good year in Philly, he had a strong playoffs and fell on his face in the Finals. Despite how warmly Ty has been received in Philly, and how much faith both Larry Brown and the team have shown him, Ty made it pretty clear he planned to use his free agency option this summer, and would be exploring his options. Reminding media that he still wants to win a title, he understands at any moment he could be traded, and wants to security of the free agency process, and of course a new 4 year deal. Saying it wasn't about money, Ty is not expecting to demand major money from the 76ers, and in fact he may not stay with the Sixers at all. Hill will be forgoing 2 years and roughly $14.5 million remaining on a deal he signed 3 seasons ago. With so many teams looking for size, rebounding and defense Hill may receive a lot of interesting offers. ------------------ "Instinctly u recognize things, now take advantage of what u just recognized!".. LMAO. I don't think the Rockets should sign Hill either, but if they could manage to get rid of Cato while getting Hill then go for it! ------------------ "I'm not the only person in this league who thinks they're dirty.", -- Steve Francis on the Utah Jazz "When point guards come to Houston now, they go to sleep the night before. They don't go to the movies, they don't go out, because they know they're going to be in for a game. He is the answer. They don't have to worry about a point guard for the next 10 years" -- Former Rocket and current TNT analyst Kenny Smith on the Rockets' point guard Steve Francis
If we got Hill, I'd be scared to go to a game because I don't want to look at him and turn to stone. ------------------ "Oh No..." -Bill Walton in 97 just before Stockton's buzzer beater
