Imagine being a big enough loser to goto a rally for a guy that just lost in a landslide. Gathering like this is in a pandemic is also going to stop the safe guards that have protected these idiots from natural selection
...a fool... ...or a racist... ...will tell you everything you want to know about him/her, if you let him/her talk. ...another victory for free speech, I'd say...
I was watching a little american tv and night shows this week and I saw people kept addressing Trump's behaviour as foolish. Stop calling it like that. Why keep underestimating someone who has been following the dictator playbook to a T? He has already corroded your justice, attacked the press, spread division, misinformation and fanatism , trying to inflitrate the army with his cronies, as best as he could in spite of all the precautions taken. How is that foolish? This is typical autocratic behaviour. Why don't you ask a Turk how Erdogan became a dictator? It didn't happen in one day. He didn't come out and said "I will become the new sultan". It happened slowly over many years. God help you all if you hadn't voted this snake out now. You are lucky but also worthy of your luck because your earned it yourselves by protecting your democracy.
Agreed...a lot of the mainstream media (god, I sound like a MAGA dude now) continues to try to equalize the two sides and play down Trump and the Republican actions. Again, messaging from the left needs to be stronger, but folks in the media need to call a spade a spade instead of trying to make this seem normal. It’s not...not even close.
I agree that we need to take this behavior seriously and that was the biggest reason why I was concerned so much about this election and willing to donate. I regret not campaigning but was concerned about the situation with COVID-19. The US system is resilient and you're seeing that in how repeatedly Trump's court challenges are thrown out and how even Republican election officials are pushing back against claims of fraud from Trump and his supporters. That said Trump is undermining faith in our system and his calls for his supporters to take action are disturbing. Many on the Right particularly those in the "Patriot Movement" like to quote "The price of freedom is eternal vigiliance." They are right but not in the way that they think of It is also against demagogues like Trump that seek to exploit divisions and appeal to fears for power and self-enrichment. Trump has shown that many of our ethical norms and principles of separation of powers were only held in place voluntarily. It's up to every American to see that those norms and principles are strengthened and we hold our leaders to account when they violate them.
...we've managed to get by with no leader for the better part of four years... ...narrowly, yes, I grant that. ...not something I'd advocate as a recurring theme...but we only got to hold on for 70-some-odd days, friend. We can do this. We've already proven we can do worse...
Smh, I never said i personally observed anything. Show me. The left has been b****ing for 4 years and expects the we aren't going to complain for a couple of months. I am on record saying that trump will concede as soon as it is official. His quotes yesterday indicate that will happen. As far as calling me out about $$. Let's make the bet. Bet $8k or stfu.
Never said anything of the sort. I may have shared some widely reported issues but I never said I personally observed anything illegal.
