I respect your opinion, but I don't think it's an easy choice. I would rather go for Rozier. He can play 4-5 years. Harden can be paired up with him. Batum would be an expiring contract.

What kind of defense would you employ with Love?

Switch everything is useless with Love.

And Love is not long enough, disruptive enough or a rim protector so drop coverage is also useless.

Weaver is proponent of both defenses AND the entire team is built around the switch everything system.

Love is fragile and an extremely poor fit.

I would only agree to take him, if he is bought out.

I'm not exactly a fan of Rozier, but if taking back his two year deal over one of the two expirings (Batum and Zeller) would give us a bit more leverage to make the Hornets include the 3rd pick, i'd do that over taking the two expirings and move them for let's say Blake/Love/Horford.

At the end of the day, if a team can give you either a young player and a lotto pick (Robinson + 8th pick from NYK) or a bunch of expiring contracts and a lotto pick (Batum + 3rd pick from CHA) I’ll take it. Silas played a big part in developing Luka, Luka has said so himself, and the young kid will have Harden as his mentor. Plus, more than likely that type of deal will give us cap space in 2021 for an FA. If you can get a deal like that then it’s a deal. KOC tweeted yesterday about how CHA is considering trading the 3rd pick for WB, and that he thinks it’s the biggest mistake of the decade. If you can get the 3rd pick, which might be on the table with CHA, then do it.

Kevin O Connor says here “ You’d be surprised...” when the other guy assumed that the Hornets wouldn’t trade the 3rd pick for Westbrook.

3rd pick with Batum (expiring deal) and Zeller would be am amazing haul. At the trade deadline Batums contract will be a attractive piece.

I don’t think They would be crazy enough to do that though.

I would take it too, but would flip that pick for another starter(s) and a lower FRP.

This is not the draft to draft high.

Rather have the cap space to sign Ibaka or Wood.

Trade deadline without Morey is going to be a different ride than we all have become accustomed to.

3rd pick for a disgruntled Westbrook?

Umm, yeah, you take that yesterday and go streaking Will Ferrell style.

Stone was the one doing the number crunching by all reports under Morey so I assume he is good at the art of dealing. I think he might be able to get a ok piece with Batums deal.

With the 3rd pick I would pray to the almighty that Wiseman falls to three and we get a ready made defensive ace who can also play off harden if not then I would flip it with Gordon’s contract for a attractive piece and still have Batums contract at the deadline to improve the team.

I think MJ will be vetoed by Kupchak and his coaches, even if he is adamant on acquiring WB.

    Do it!!!

    CHA: Russ Westbrook, Danuel House
ORL: Miles Bridges, Cody Zeller, Devonte Graham, Jalen McDaniels + 3rd pick overall (from Hornets)
HOU: Aaron Gordon, Terry Rozier, Mo Bamba + 15th pick overall (from Magic)

    6'1 Rozier (26)/6'3 McLemore (27)
    6'5 Harden/6'3 EGo
    6'7 RoCo/6'5 Nwaba
    6'8 AG (25)/6'5 Tucker
    7'0 Bamba (22)/MLE

Rockets save 2M in cap space, still have MLE and 15th pick overall.

Getting Russ in Charlotte would be huge for their franchise. Russ can put up at least 25 points, 8 assists and at worst 6 rebounds a game for the next 3 years. This would make Charlotte and thier fans someone to hopefully change direction of a s**t a** franchise.

Wiseman is Capela, in maybe a year or so.

Lousy draft to have top 5 pick.

Ibaka and Wood already better fit for Rockets than a Capela wannabe.

Or give up EGo to Magic (Zeller stays with Hornets) and Rockets save 19M to spend in FA plus MLE.
