In the year of 1900 which was the year of infamous hurricane to hit Galveston TX and also a year in which there was less than 4200 of something called an automobile in the entire United States ...this was a time that was actually before red dead redemption 2 for historical context ...a restaurant named city cafe opened...but now it is closing after 120 years... a place that was around years before Fenway park was conceived...gone for good.

    Rip city cafe

How? Do they not own their building after 120 years? What could they possibly get so far behind on after running a business for 120 years?

Edit: I'm assuming maybe it's changed hands and I could see it going under that way. Sad.

I actually live in Murfreesboro now so I heard about this the other day. Yea, 2020 has been one of the worst years ever. Only 2 good things have come out of it.

That sums it up. A pub on 6th here in Austin by the Driskill Hotel, where our team has played trivia every week for years, closed permanently not long ago. Was doing great business and could make a nice profit, despite the high rents in that area. Great Irish beer and ale out of kegs kept cool in the basement, a good selection of Irish whiskey, was a favorite for visitors from Ireland who hit town, great fish and chips . . . now gone.

In an alternate reality where Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Hilary Clinton, Marco Rubio were president I would bet a lot of money that it would still be open.
