It feels like there’s been a flurry of rapid changes and now rumors are starting to explode . smoke ? Fire ? tilman is cheap ? Or a liar ? I did think it was a bit too much how the nba media fawned over the Silas pick . And I wanted Silas ... but I kept hearing “he’s so qualified” we know Tilman talks to Stephen A . Is this 5d chess ? Or Tilman doing everything he can to make sure cost cutting doesn’t come up ? how good is stone really ? How good was / is this team really ? I was pretty convinced that we should go for it for 1 more year . But that counted on good pickups and James and Russ being professional (not that they arent) . But it’s a players league and a guy can flex if he wants to . Hard to be a professional if your boss is an assclown . or is this just Stephen A and max truly showing that they know us better than we know ourselves and are harvesting that click $ ?
what do you mean? Cf's had all this optimism literally for the last month since mda and morey left. The real problems. This is what so many on cf's wanted.
Team is a mess if all the dirty laundry is true. I dont see James or Russ being here so im up for a full rebuild or try to get a competent team together to compete if they are both gone, itll defiinetely remind me of the Rick Adelman years so that could be fun to watch. Just wish Tilman never bought this team.
All I know is that the noise on this board is so loud, you cant make sense of anything through all the wild speculation, false news and new posts every few minutes. Maybe in a week or two, things will calm down enough where one can actually glean what is actually happening. Maybe I will have to go hide in the Astros forum again
I think since Tillman took over it has all been downhill with his meddling narcissism the root cause of it. DD
Honestly, my feeling is that this all sucks because we won't be in contention for a very long time. We traded our future for one year of Russ and we definitely wont get the same value in return. We probably won't be in contention for about 10 years. I hope I am wrong but I doubt it.
On the bright side, the Rockets are the one major sports franchise in Houston not being sued by former executives right now.
I usually don’t like to read too much into “drama”, but I feel Harden would definitely shout out Westbrook on Instagram for his birthday in the past and he certainly has not done so today.
I say get what you can for Westbrook and maybe trade Harden... We MUST get an up and coming star at least though. If there is any way to get Booker, Tatum or or someone of that level, then I say definitely trade Harden
What do I think? I think modern NBA stars are, for the most part, coddled man-children who have been catered to since they were 16 and as a result have the interpersonal skills of your average 10th grade mean girl. That's what I think.
