Why are the consoles in shortages right now???

 

tbh, i haven't even bought a game for the series x yet...don't plan on picking up a PS5 game immediately either. the launch titles outside of AC Vahalla seem kinda weak imo. i may even wait to scoop up AC when it drops in price. dont get me wrong its nice to get one early, but you're not missing out on much. if halo had stuck as a launch title then yeah...thats a biggie.

 

I hear you, the main reason I’d like one now is 2k. That’s the main game I play.

 

Same, the main reason I'm getting a PS5 this year are the improvements to backwards compatible games, as my backlog is huge.

Usually I wait a few years and get the slim or pro version of consoles, but this time they really put in effort to respect the game libraries we've assembled over the years.
Only console I bought on release was the 360, as it had a nice launch catalogue.

 

Can’t do 2k for 70 waiting to buy it in 2 months for 50% off. Got Valhalla cod and spidy ultimate. There’s a huge back catalogue of games I have to play that come with the ps5 as well. I hadn’t been in the ps universe since I sold my ps4 and Xbox one for an Xbox one x.

 

Where’d you pre order from?

 

Looking forward to hearing if they play significantly better. What will you be trying first?

 

Cracked my window in the living room with the cooler weather. I think my Xbox one booted up faster with the cool air circulating in. Suck on that next gen holders.

Is it true that Walmart will be doing restocks and online at midnight tonight?

 

I didn't think the demand would be that absurd even in Germany, so I missed the pre-order window.
GameStop Germany are saying they'll have new badges available for order on Nov 19, so hopefully I can order one then.

At this point just hoping I'll have a PS5 before Christmas holidays.

 

According to DigitalFoundry, they pretty much all hit the FPS cap constantly, which should be nice.

I'll try a bit of everything, but the main ones are Genshin Impact (runs like dogshit on PS4 Pro) and then some main ones from my backlog:
FF 15, AC: Odyssey, Horizon, Persona 5, Bloodborne, Far Cry 5, Kingdome Come, Metro 1-3, Nioh, Evil Within 1-2.

Will also revisit some like Days Gone, God of War, RDR2, Last of Us of course.

Think overall my backlog consists of nearly 100 games, so I'll have my hands full and probably won't buy a PS5 game for a while.

 

Was able to get a ps5 last night through PlayStation store online. Around 12:30 I think. Should come in 1-2 days. Let’s see what the fuss is about.

 

Just got a PS5 on bestbuy.com in store pickup next friday!

 

For all those wondering why there are shortages, welcome to 2020 Tech releases lol. I'm just going to wait until mid 2021 for all the stuff I've wanted to buy.

 

My PS5 should hopefully be delivered today, though don't know if I'll have a ton of time to check it out.

The launch games (especially for PS5 IMO) are actually really good IMO. Demon's Souls alone will probably be worth it for me. I missed out on Spider-Man for PS4, so the Ultimate Edition for PS5 seems like a great buy (especially with all the raytracing and whatnot). Then there's BUGSNAX!

The XSX/XSS lineup is pretty decent too IMO. Losing Halo hurt, but the multi-platform and upgraded games (e.g., Yakuza, DMC, etc.) seem pretty good. I think The Medium comes out next month, which looks pretty good, and I'm sure early 2021 will have a lot of great content too.

Target inventory checker shows a fair number in stock at local Targets. But... when will those go on sale? I don't think they're letting you walk in and buy them. Not sure when/if target.com will enable the add-to-cart for local pickup based on the inventory that is on-hand.

Any ideas?

 

I tried to get one when they went online for target last night, think people are running bots to because they all sold out instantaneously, wouldn't let me pass the checkout screen. Walmart is going to have releases, but again, likely they are overrun by bots, same thing happened when I tried to order an Xbox 2 days ago.
