Been saying it whole year --- boston gloats about cheating. from the patriots constantly cheating , deflategate/spygate was least of it, to apple watches to all the horrible sexism ... have ridiculously high payroll year after year .... just part of the game. astros duck their tail between their legs and cry and self destruct for banging on a couple of trash cans. pathetic. bring back luhnow NOW.
this is what the scandal exposed --- only big market teams are allowed to cheat. small markets can do half of it and be bullied.
This still infuriates me beyond words. MLB ruined my team and my only World Series and Boston has no repercussions? Fu<k this man
Not sure why anyone would be upset with the Red Sox. Their ownership does what it takes to win and realized that most people have a short memory when it comes to these type of scandals. Unfortunately for the Astros, the Tigers beat us to the punch by hiring AJ Hinch a few days prior. The upside with all of this is, it clears the way for Jeff Luhnow to return.
So I keep reading, "Will the Red Sox face any backlash for rehiring Cora?" It wouldn't even be a question if the Astros rehired Hinch. So much media bias.
Honestly, I don't even blame them. Why not? Hell, I kind of admire them for it. They showed some stones. Went back to what worked best for them. Crane bent over and hasn't been up for air since.
Because their players colluded to lie about their cheating scandal. Because that organization cheats--over and over--and gets nothing but a slap on the wrist. And then talks sanctimonious self-righteous bs about the Astros. Because Cora cried about being blamed for his role in the cheating, AFTER his team did the same damned thing the FOLLOWING year. The hypocrisy from MLB and the Stained Sox and the Yankoffs and the Hollywood Bums is disgusting to no end. Screw them all.
Lunhow burned all his bridges with the Astros with his interview a few weeks back. He'll never be coming back to this organization, unfortunately.
Luhnow: Red Sox sign-stealing punishments didn't 'pass the sniff test' "They were caught twice - they were caught in 2017, and then they were caught again in 2018 - and that's recidivism," Luhnow recently told The Edge: Houston Astros podcast, according to WEEI. "I don't hear anybody asking how the front office there could not know," he continued. "The only people that got punished were a video person, and they pretty much let everybody else off the hook, so it doesn't pass the sniff test for me or for a lot of baseball fans as well." https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2050807 Luhnow airing what everybody in Houston already knows and now he wants everyone else to know as well. This could finally lead to some justice on the matter. Good for you Jeff.
You know, this whole thing could get real interesting. Lets say Luhnow manages to get the medias attention enough that MLB has to act. Lets say Cora gets caught in the crosshairs. Wouldn't it be sweet if the Red Sox had to fire him a second time
