Is anyone surprised by this? I mean come on we all know that this team is on the decline due to Tillman. Would you want to play for him?

Surprised it's taken this long. Harden has been a one man show and getting killed by media every playoff series cuz the team around him is pure trash since our owner won't spend money and keeps dumping draft picks.

If he wants a ring he won't win it in Houston unless the team gets sold.

I don't even know if this is true. What I do know is that every time free agency starts, ESPN and other media outlets come up with random stories to scare free agents away from Houston. For whatever reason, they do it every year. I hope this isn't true but the media has a history of trying to sabotage houston teams ( see the astros).

Eh, I don't think it's all that weird. Tilman has shown nothing but incompetence since buying the team. Chances of us winning it all with Harden are slimmer than they've been in years been and our means to improve the team are virtually non-existent. This team is going to fail regardless, the writing has been on the wall for a while now.

If you really care about the long-term health of the Rockets, you understand that Fertitta simply can not be a part of the organization. If crashing and burning is what it takes to get that guy to run out of Houston, so be it. Keep in mind, we have been getting consistently worse every year, and that's with the pieces that were put in place pre-Tilman still making the majority of decisions (Morey, Harden, etc.) Imagine what the team is going to look like with Tilman's guys in place throughout the organization.

Every well run franchise or business discusses key decisions and hires with their rainmaker.

That is how the most successful companies retain the best talent, make them feel invested and heard.

Tilly is showing us how a less succesful business is run, driving away all their best talent at every turn.

Gotta take into account, there isn't a relevant organization that doesn't value their star players 2 cents. especially if you want them to remain pair of it.

Only a matter of time before the trade demand comes.

Should have started taking offers by now to avoid this inevitability, his trade value has now gone down.

It will go down more once the demand comes.

I am about ready to turn in my fan card.

This was in motion while he was on the clock with the Rockets.

Every franchise player has a say in who the coach is. It would be mind blowing if they didn’t include James in that decision. But it’s Tillman so it wouldn’t surprise me.

    I will be honest.

If I were Harden, I would push for a trade to the Sixers or Clippers.

Harden has a really close relationship with Daryl Morey. They discussed a lot of stuff outside of basketball.

Harden has lost his coach and GM and the Rockets didn’t make the Lue signing.

Ownership doesn’t want to spend money... so why stick around?

I would go to Philly like Moses Malone and win a title.

Hopefully things are reconcilable or not as bad as it is being reported and we dont have to trade anyone, but if we do have to trade both JH and WB, I wish these types of reports would stop coming out. It only gives other teams more leverage with trading and they won't have to dish out more bc they know the players want out.

McMahon's take is not as doom and gloom as Perk.

If it comes to that which I believe it will also. I don’t know how I could support Tillman.

Harden is absolutely obliterating his Houston legacy these past 18 months. Damn shame.
