Triple double WB found opportunities when he could. Given Westbrook is a world class athlete, Covid-19 unlikely did no long term damage. WB takes care of himself and at his best can play with a dominant post player and Harden once he is back in condition. He was a nusance that stole rebounds when the opposing big was distracted by Adams and he can do it again.

This thread might have been spot on after all. Both could be gone by the deadline.

    https://sixerswire.usatoday.com/202...en-simmons-vs-james-harden-russell-westbrook/

LOL at all the 6ers homers and slurping national media.

Harden and Westbrook are not only the better duo over Embiid and Simmons right NOW but they will be the better duo in the near future.

Not just because Beard-Brodie are more compatible but they have been the more productive.

And this duo while "on wrong side of 30" have been MUCH MUCH more durable than Embiid-Simmons.

    Any conclusion otherwise is laughable.

Yeah, the age argument is the only thing that favors Embiid-Simmons, and while you could make an argument about how it would be better to have either Embiid or Simmons over Russ (imo it would be), you can't say the say about them compared to Harden, they're just not on his level and likely never will.

Oh, and even if they're also younger than James, they both already had more injuries (and not even small ones) then him, especially Embiid with that body and how he takes care of it, doesn't exactly inspire confidence going forward.

Unless Morey is going to pony up Simmons and a bunch of picks, there's no way in hell Tilman will sign off on a trade that sends Harden to Philly.

Well apparently if all the so called rumours are right is exactly that. Simmons, Richardson and picks

Not good enough for me. Add Thybulle too. Houston should get 2 unprotected first rounders as well. I still don't like it. Simmons might have long term underlying injuries. Extreme caution is needed.

This is going from 50/50 to more like 80/20.

You can’t win in the NBA without at least 1 top 5 player and usually paired with another top 10/15 player. Trading Harden is going backwards unless you get picks that end up # 1 and then select a guy who is top 5 once LBJ retires. Yeah it that’s ****ing hard.

    Ben Simmons? GTFOH.

I don't want to trade Harden. However I take issue with your logic. You can trade a top 5 player for a boatload of picks, acquire more picks in side deals, and then trade all of those picks for another top 5 guy.

Sure it could happen but the odds are crazy bad. We got damn lucky that Morey was able to get Harden away from OKC and he turned into a top 5 player. Most everyone missed on Kawhi in the draft. It’s just long long odds expecting to get lucky enough again. As long as you have Harden you are a true contender. Even if you have elite talent like a Giannis or Lillard guess what it’s not good enough.

You don’t trade away the most rare and valuable commodity I would argue in sports. You won’t get equal value.
