Normally I'd be concerned but yeah. I think Trump is trying this but it won't get very far. This country runs on money and an actual civil war isn't very profitable. I think the only reason people like Mitch aren't doing anything is because they want to win those GA elections and you don't do that by pissing off the Trump cult. You do that by pretending to placate them and then at the end of the day going "We had investigations, we looked into it, we found some irregularities but not enough, time to move on." And then the GOP will use this to try and gain some momentum for their Voter ID laws they want to push. As for the nukes thing, him doing that or even floating it would trigger an international event and he'd be getting a visit from a Navy Seals team.
The fact they need to send that shows how ****ed up this is. Trump is a parasite to this republic he must be removed before he does more damage to the reputation of the very institutions of democracy in this country.
I've been saying this since Trump was a candidate. He's not going to trigger a nuclear war and he certainly isn't going to use nukes on the US. During the last days of Nixon Kissinger and the the Joint Chiefs passed orders to SAC and other parts of the US military that any orders to regarding nukes from the President should be cleared with them first. The military officer corps detest Trump they also know that any such orders would be immoral and illegal. Also there is nothing about Trump that indicates he's suicidal.
If he overturns the will of the people. There won’t be an impeachment it would be a straight removal and tried not in Congress but in the court of law for treason. Or do you disagree.
He might fire those leaders if they don't follow his orders. That's the scary part. He'll turn all Hitler if his enablers let him. There is always a suck up for power in the military to take the place of any leaders he fires. Look at Crenshaw. He went straight to butt kisser yes man after serving his country.
Every day that goes by I find it more and more bizarre how each side is reacting. I am finding people who seemed to be rational and apolitical are voicing opinions that Trump was robbed. And then there are those who believe Trump is going to invoke some odd power wielding conch that will somehow allow him to stay in the white house.
I don't understand this line of reasoning. How is it rational to think that Trump was robbed the moment he started losing the vote count? What are people supposed to believe when Trump won't concede?
The Military as a collective does not like him. They have no obligation to consider their firing serious and they have no obligation to leave especially when this president will be out in January. The military holds the cards here, not Trump. He can "try" to fire these guys just like I can "try" to play for NBA team. The majority of the military does not like him. I cant be clear enough about that. Im not liking the fear mongering hear.
