I counted 8/11 clips were rockets plus the harden Westbrook cutaway in Gary Clark, the Disney version, I trust
This. We only have the tax payer MLE fellas. The most we can offer is 3/18, in comparison to a regular MLE at 4/40. All the dreams of Ibaka, Wood, Baynes signing for that are incredibly unlikely. They will all likely be getting numerous full MLE offers (double what we can offer) if not more. I’m just praying we can land Marc G, he’s the only good stretch 5 I can see taking such a cheap deal.
Sure they can. Trade Eric Gordon to Minnesota for a TPE and a draft pick. SNT into the TPE. It's complex but easily doable. we can use either MLE. Using the higher NTMLE is very unlikely but possible.
Nice catch op Also fwiw: “The $109 million salary cap will cause a hit for the middle class a bit,” the agent told HoopsHype. “Clubs will try to put as many veterans as possible on the minimum or mid-level exception. Agents will try for short-term deals in order to play the market when the league is back on solid footing.”
I love the brand messaging! There are articles where Rafa is saying Rockets "will" spend into the luxary tax if right players are availalbe. Only question there is what Tildo considers to be "the right" player? (Lebron, KD...) Would be a good get.
The Lakers are expected to target veteran forward Serge Ibaka in free agency this year, Sean Deveney of Heavy.com reports, citing league executives. Deveney suggests that the Raptors are still probably the favorites to sign Ibaka this fall, but that the big man may be willing to leave for a chance to compete for a championship elsewhere. The Celtics, Clippers, Heat, Mavericks, and Trail Blazers are among the other clubs expected to have interest, per Deveney, though the defending champions could probably give Ibaka the best chance to play for a title. https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2020/11/lakers-to-pursue-serge-ibaka.html
I'm laughing hard too. Disney Gary Clark is affordable. Not Ibaka. I think he's getting longer in the tooth, but he is probably good enough for the NTMLE, which we don't have.
