Depends on the size of the room and how far you are sitting.

    4K resolution, 65" TV distance recommendation is 6.5ft - 10.2ft.
    4K resolution, 85" TV distance recommendation is 8.5ft - 13.4ft.
    (THX recommendations)

I am sitting 10ft away and value the deep blacks and beautiful colors with OLED vs. getting a bigger TV.
If money wasn't a factor, I would have gotten the 77" OLED but I can't justify spending double.

I don’t even need a new TV but the prices are in a sweet spot where I feel ok to upgrade. Definitely can’t do the 77” one either. Always wanted an OLED. I sit about 10 ft away and I think you’re right, with the lights off and a dark room that LG picture is going to pop.

The LG CX/BX series OLED looks insane! Seriously nothing else compares, not even the Sony or Samsung. The black levels really makes the color pops out of the screen. I belive the CX is a little brighter then the BX.

If you could afford one go for it. It will be the best decision you will make. I'm looking to purchase the 75" for optimum 4K/HDR viewing but I can't afford it at the moment.

Sony doesn't have an OLED, they've used LG OLED panels on their Sony processors.

LCD and OLED both have inherent issues that can by nature not be overcome.

Samsung's priority atm is on ramping up production for Micro LED, which has better contrast and brightness than both these technologies, is theoretically cheaper and has a nearly limitless life expectancy, which sets it apart from the expensive OLED tech that also degrades in brightness&colors over time.

I'm starting to notice a pattern among people who proclaim themselves 99er's.

I can't quite put my finger on it.

3600 hundred for a couch made out of synthetic material and looks like something I can get from a rental place?

    Da****?
