Thank you for unmasking the views of a group of people I rarely interact with. Before you I never would have imagined that there were so many extremely socially conservative and economic populists. The 'crazy' things you said aren't outlandish, they're what a large part of the country has been thinking for a long time. I had begun to wonder why there wasn't much economically conservative/socially liberal representation. The last 4 years have taught me that this may be the least popular political view. It just appears to be a nice thing to say and potentially the most politically correct position in mixed company.
Well stated rather than “rot in hell” like @Andre0087 that loves to tell people to **** off but not to their faces
What Pole said. And what that professor from Harvard said back in 2016: Could be that the US needs a Trump to test our democracy..sounds a tad bit destructive.
What I'm thankful for: Thank you for not sucking China's weiner and keeping socialism out of America. Repairing an awful Obama economy Thank you for making America feared again, albeit because you are utterly insane. Thank you for actually doing what you said you would (good or bad). Thank you for trying to push for a second stimulus, even when Nancy tried to deprive millions of Americans from much needed aid. Helping small business and middle classes survive Making progress for Middle East/N. Korea peace Trying to repair America from within by keeping jobs here and not taking **** from any other country Strengthening the stock markets Re-opening America when millions of businesses are struggling What I'm not thankful for: Creating and/or encouraging a certain sect of Americans who are racist asses. Trying to slander American diplomatic process Not being a gracious winner/loser Making up stuff Poorly executed pandemic response (still better than Obama and SARS, imo) This post may incite controversy. No offense to anyone personally. I assure you I am not a "Trumptard", but I am a Republican. I'll leave it at that.
With respect to the second stimulus... you need to lay that on McConnell. I am not a Pelosi fan at all, but she put a package out there in MAY that McConnell refused to negotiate on. She and Mnuchin were negotiating and she decreased their initial proposal over 33% when Trump said no more negotiating. Trump eventually had Mnuchin keep negotiating and McConnell sent the senate home after the Barrett confirmation.
A great illustration of how some people invent alternative facts. The House passed a stimulus bill many months ago which Republicans in the Senate refuse to take up. Forever ignoring reality.
Too soon.. I'm not one who think he was evil or did everything bad and have given him credit for a few things but I'm not going to appreciate him until he's actually left the White House for good.
