If we can improve the roster in a couple of places (C and F), that will make everything better. It's as simple as that. James and Russ need help out there. Not all star caliber players, just two players that are capable at the C and F positions. If PJ is still the starting PF, we HAVE to have a good starting C and a good backup PF. If we can find that we will be contenders.

I don't know if it is alot of change in Harden's game but I am hoping to see some more change with our role players. Hopefully he figures a way to make them more of a threat to make Harden's game easier.

You guys do know that MDA and his staff wanted Harden to play that way right? Not to mention Mchale. MDA thought to maximize Harden’s strengths would be to isolate him or play off the high screen and roll. He built a team and dictated a style of play he thought would work around his centerpiece Harden. If you watched Harden in his early days in OKC he played off the ball at times. He got the ball coming off flares and off ball screens etc. he can definitely play this way again along with the 1-1 game.

nope. that's what the casuals just think. people that bring up harden from okc ridiculously think hes that same player. it's mind boggling. you will never see okc harden ever again. stop acting like a 31 year old harden is going to play like a 23 year old. it's ridiculous and no a coach isn't going to change that. these irrelevant references have no correlation with who harden is today and has been for the last several years

Ok YOLO you are right. Coaching has nothing to do with his style of play. And no coaching can ever play him off the ball more. Cool bro.

I know I'm right. It's amazing how year after year after year after year some of yall want harden to be a player he isn't. and year after year after year we see he's going to play the way harden wants. The way he is has made him a perennial mvp candidate for years. No matter how many times yall want to change harden and repeat it on cf's, a 31 year old harden is going to continue to be the same him for the last several years. He's an iso player whether you like it or not. If you don't understand that by 31 now, you just never will

NOTHING!!! He will shut his mouth and Harden will tell him what to do. He's pretty much just a dummy at this point.

I really like this guy. I'm even more encouraged about Coach Silas after hearing this!

Silas wants to have a plan B, C, D, E for when Harden gets double teamed. It's like an early xmas present

I doubt anything Harden does what he wants regardless of who the coach is.

They wanted him to play that way so they could maximize on his talent and get cheap 3 and D players. If Harden is doing all the work then all you need is guys that can hit a shot when they are open.

Less isos for sure. No reason for him to iso like he did the last 2 years. It's just way too much to ask out of one player. His mvp year was ideal in terms of iso volume.

I like how he said he will keep most things and mix in a few things that will make it easier to score including “actions and movement”. He mentioned not letting the defense set up against james attacking early with the trapping and skip passes. Im curious and excited to see what he’s got planned. I fully think he is the right man for the job. He also said he will play different styles. Stone also said they plan on incorporating a big man to mix it up. This is a departure from the MDA era where he just played one style and rarely made adjustments especially with small ball.

Answer the question of what happens when you double team Harden. Lakers went on double digit leads in three out of the four games. He was doubled teamed starting at half court and into the entirety of the position. We had no answer Westbrook would get at the top of the key and face Anthony a Davis under the basket. The problem was when Westbrook drove he had no where to dump in when Davis gave help defense. Tucker is not good at finishing around the rim.

I hope Silas can get Harden to go back to the "faux hawk haircut." Not digging these twisties he is rocking these days, tbh.
