They should get a good increase as it's not just ad revenue, but the DVD sales, merchandise, etc... I still love this show...
Just how irreplacable are the voice actors anyway? I don't blame these people for holding out on more money. It might only take them one day to do an episode, but they do a job that, as of right now, NO OTHER PEOPLE can do. And if they're easy to replace, they wouldn't even be making six-figures a show right now.
I am glad that is almost only Nomar that is saying that the Simpsons suck. It is the only show I will ALWAYS watch when i zap punch my remote. Homer Simpson has a kind of eternal quality about him. You are just in good company with him. He makes you feel safe and you like him but not in the way that you feel sorry when something bad happens to him. It is funny how you can both root for him to suceed and to screw up at the same time. BEST CHARACTER EVER!!! in any movie, show animation, ANYTHING. Why does Nomar feel the need to bash anything very good and popular. It makes him look like an arrogant attention seeking know-it-all. Which may not be what he is but why does he have to criticize all the things I love!! I know he probably doesn't even know that I exist but I take it personally when people criticize the very thing I love in movies and comedy shows so consequent. ( I am not ranting, just wondering how this can be)
Simpsons used to be awesome. It is my favorite show of all- time. But the last 5+ or so years have been really bad. It plays like a regular sitcom now, except much stupider. So I agree with Nomar and everyone else. Nomar, if you haven't seen the first 7 seasons, you should.
No disrespect intended, but the ones deserving the $125K /day wage are the writers. I would think voice actors shouldn't be too hard to replace.
Saw a really good episode today. This new worker at the power plant became Homers enemy......very funny right thw way through.
Ah, the classic "Frank 'Grimey' Grimes" black comedy episode. ... And yet another poster falls victim to nomar's "I'm gonna get a rise out of you" evil scheme.
Weird. Here in Austin, they aired the one where that guy's son was trying to kill Homer because of that very episode.
Once again. I have no problem with popular media. And I don't try to get rises out of people. And I don't always give negative reviews.
OK, I just watched the latest episode of the Simpsons, and I got the biggest laugh I've gotten in a while from anything in the last few minutes.
The voice actors might seem greedy, but that show is hugely popular, and has been so, throughout the world. You think the show is funny in English? Watch it in Spanish. When I was in Mexico, I became a fan again. Watching Mr Burns standing at his desk saying "Despedido!" (you're fired!) and pulling a lever, and a trap door opening beneath the fired worker because he failed to answer a question properly ("aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.....!!") Pay them.
