So who are the Astros biggest rivals Pre AL, Post AL.

MLB commissioners are our biggest rivals. Always have been.

No he didn't. Even if he did it was *'d so it doesn't count, much like LA's World Series championship this year that OP's been celebrating on here.

 

The Yankees as a team have been great rivals for the Astros in the game played between the two teams. The Yankees as the media's and League's favorite knob to perpetually slob are absolutely insufferable to play, and I'm glad we don't have to play them too much. That's also why the Dodgers are insufferable. I'd say the A's are our consistent rivals at this point because we just play so...many...games against the AL West. It's boring as hell to me, but they're always nipping at our heels in the division standings and always grab a wild card slot, they're who we have to deal with. Plus, they've got Statutory Snitch Fiers.

 

Always hated the cardinals as a kid

NL - Dodgers, Giants (pre-1990’s, NL West era)
- Cardinals, Braves (NL Central era)

AL - Yankees, Rays (postseason)
- A’s (I guess) nothing really feels like a rivalry since the Astros have dominated the division for so long.

Dodgers are my most hated team.

 

For me it's all the old NL West teams except the Padres. The Cubs and Mets are annoying to me, but not in a rivalry kind of way. I always respected the Cardinals.

 

Pre-AL switch (late 90s and onward): Cardinals. The Cardinals rivalry peaked during the Pujols / Edmonds years.

Post-AL switch: Rangers, Yankees and A's. Dodgers too, despite them being in the NL. The Hank Conger / Rougned Odor incident intensified the Rangers rivalry.

 

The Cardinals broke my heart more than any other team so they are our biggest rival. Can you consider the Yankees and Rangers rivals when we consistently kick their asses, when we aren't tanking?

 

Its just natural to hate an instate team, especially when theres already history with basketball and football between the two cities. Its fun to see posters on here lash out and take great pleasure in that Arlington teams failures, when they otherwise avoid talking trash. Then there was that 2016 year they whooped us so consecutively, that they were the biggest reason we missed the playoffs. Its pretty clear that they are our biggest rival. Just enjoy the ride of whooping them over and over for the next few years.

 

I'm more curious which teams consider the Astros as rivals?

 

The entire MLB including the commisioner's office

 

Dodgers. We are most hated team in the MLB.

 

For the record, Arlington is not our rival.

Trying to figure out who our rivals are in the AL.

It's easy to say the Yankees because everyone hates Yankeefan thus hates the Yankees. However, over the past several years they have been our most consistent AL rival. I can't think of a better rival.

Rangers don't really count, although I'm sure the powers that be wanted us to be rivals. They just suck too bad and are more like the little sisters of poor to us.
