is it not so fascinating when a white person does it? There is an elegance to chopsticks that I do like but i do reserve them for asian cuisine. I can only imagine the horror on the faces the first time an asian person saw a westerner barbarically stab and hack at their food with a knife and fork.
Careful if it's Reese Witherspoon. Spooning a Witherspoon will cause a rip in the time-space continuum, two dimensions interlock and everyone will have no utensils to use. This is a whisk that I'm not willing to take.
If you see someone struggle with chopsticks, you say it in a star wars voice: "may the fork be with you".
I bought a six pack of these last year. Unless you need somewhat of an edge on the spoon for things like ice cream, I honestly prefer them now for the majority of things I would typically eat with a spoon.
This is a big reason for why it is used. Not necessarily portion control, but it forces you to eat your food more slowly → better digestion. It can be infuriating with certain foods to be sure, but it is better for your gut health.
