I could not agree more. I hope he actually starts taking his free-throws from behind the arc!

Only if it’s a good play...can’t just post up any center.

When all you come back with from an off-season is a one legged 3pt shot that is basically a gimmick, that tells me Harden is too comfortable and doesn’t feel a need to add anything significant. I’d be surprised if he actually is asked to do anything from mid-range. Silas might be taking the talk there as he will find out Harden is set in his ways. More off the ball is my guess when Westbrook is on the court.

Unless they can dump Westbrook and find Harden some quality help, it'll be just more wasted seasons

More of everything except isos but especially more ball movement and more confidence on other guys. Mike would usually stick with his core and not give everyone or others that much confidence. He would give them some playing time but even if they had a good game he wouldn’t play them again or much just like Hartenstein

I want to see more one-legged threes. Floater threes. Euro step threes.

Off ball movement and less reliance on the 3 ball.

It really depends if the Rockets can get a decent C/PF. If they do then all of the above is possible. What I personally like to see is more of a mid-range game and less reliance on streaky 3's to win a ball game and move Harden to SG and let Russ handle the PG.

The true unlocking of Harden's offensive potential can only occur when Harden can pass out of a double and the team can confidently score on those.

I think adding offensive moves to the existing set of role players is going to be difficult. So the options in the poll just won't do. Really the intangible required is gelling in terms of passing, or motion offense where someone else can actually handle the ball.

My prediction, if any roster changes are made, would be that we go after players that can put the ball on the floor, and pass a bit better, in 3/4/5 spot.

I hope for some occasional midrange jumpers in certain situations.

A close second is more post ups for James specifically, he's great at those but never does them. Also easier to find an open man in position to score when double teamed at the post than at half court.

I would doubt that we see Harden taking more midrange shots next year. It's a low percentage shot and Harden realizes that.

It's not like Harden was being forbidden from taking midrange. Westbrook took the 4th most midrange shots per game in the entire league last year. I'm sure the Rockets educate the players on the difference in efficiency on the different shot types but they certainly didn't prevent WB from taking them.

Likewise, I don't think Silas is going to try to make Harden take an inefficient shot. Luca took less than one midrange per game last season. The only Mav who took a good number of midrange was Portzingis (3.4/game) and he was horrible at them (38.1%).

I expect to see more changes to the team offense and a blended approach of all 3 choices so that we aren't so easy to defend as a team.
