As of the Georgia update at 11:15am, Perdue now only has 49.997% of the vote. So it's looking very likely that both Georgia senate seats will go to a run-off in January.

If Dems win both seats and the presidency, then the Senate will be 50-50 with Harris being the tie-breaker. This run-off election would be HUGE.

I wish more states would have ranked choice voting like Maine, then there wouldn't need to be another election.

It's massive massive hill to climb for Dems to win 1 or 2 of the seats. Republican enthusiasm for the runoff election should be very high to have the Senate as a 'check' on Biden.

    LOL

Interesting statistic... black men in the USA in general voted for Biden 80-82% of the time. That is down slightly than the last several elections. However, black men outside of the Midwest actually voted MORE for Biden.

So where did Trump pick up black male support? The Midwest where 1/3 of all black men voted for Trump.

There are a variety of theories on why. One theory I have heard is that black men in the Midwest are the most desperate for any change. I somewhat buy that. Racism against black men is extremely high in the Midwest. That is the most racist part of the USA in my experience.

It will be interesting to see the Biden administration being saved by black people 3 times in a row while providing nothing in return..

It'll be very interesting to see if news agencies like Fox News and AP retract their call on AZ now especially with NV almost to the point of callable. If they don't Biden will have 270 after NV call.

How would voting for the incumbent bring change, though?

Yeah, this is going to be a Trump meltdown if Fox News is the first network to call the election for Biden.

Particularly the incumbent whose party generally appears to think racism isn't a problem...

4 years ago Hillbilly Effigy and the like chronicled the desperation of white working classes in the midwest and south. They received welfare...but hated being in the same line as blacks and other minorities, to which Trump gave them an out with his rhetoric. They felt Great.

Seeing green, and not seeing green makes strange bedfellows.

That area needs some love and attention....
