That's the thing though, the other side is not 50%. And on some issues, they are not popular at all with but we'll never see things like that EVER get considered because of how the map favors the GOP. Abortion rights? They could be stripped down despite the majority wanting them. Healthcare reform? Forget it, Trump wins, you can forget that at once. Climate Change? Most of the country agrees we should do something about it, but with the GOP in power, nothing. No compromises, no inching over to the left, 0 give. If the DNC were to win the Senate and Presidency, I 100% guarantee they will compromise with the GOP, they always do, because they still have to appeal to rural voters. The GOP doesn't, because they don't have to give a second to think for or represent people in the city. They simply never do. The system right now overrides urban voters, by a great deal, I don't think it is healthy for one party to continue to win the popular vote and still receive so little to show for it. Maybe the demographic change will fix it, but right now, the DNC has to try and represent all of America while the GOP gets away with representing around 40% of it and holding all of the power.
Well there he goes. He claimed victorious and is going to the supreme court to stop votes getting counted after 12 am.
As of now, 63% chance: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/forecast-president.html
This is a horseshit answer and you know it. The job is to count votes. You don't stop til its done. Rotate out people if u have to. Can you name one time people decided to stop counting votes voluntarily?
Biden should have come out first and said to stop counting the vote and declared him the winner. What would Trump have done then, tell them to continue to count?
I really think Trump didn't have to pull this stunt and would have / will likely win outright with Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Michigan. But no, too close for his comfort, he has decided to pull America deeper into becoming a dictatorship.
