If Trump wins this, I think his focus on economy over public health may have been a political win for him. A lot of voters don’t take the virus seriously, but almost everyone is worried about their money and the future economic outlook. The Democrats messaging on being responsible for the sake of public health, as well as all the social justice stuff and super-progressive politics, perhaps just doesn’t sit very well for most Americans. I know polling suggests differently, but maybe those polls aren’t as accurate as we think.
You're not looking at the map You're looking at what you hope that Trump is going to do some kind of magic voodoo or something but it ain't happening. Trump has a a very very difficult he has to pretty much run the table at this point. And if you think that that's what Trump can do then be my guest. You probably assume that Georgia is already Trump and that Wisconsin is Trump and that all these other states that ain't even completely done is Trump but that's not the case. But even if it was the case he still has to contend with Arizona issue. So like I said Trump as good as gone.
georgia and north carolina are both at 94% counted and trump is up 2 percentage points in both states. if this were biden this **** woulda been already called
Most Americans vote blue, it's just the map is always situated against them. Democrats simply have a harder game to play. They have to somehow appeal to Americans living in big cities and rural areas while the GOP gets to hunker down, ignore the cities entirely, and focus on rural America. If you got rid of the EC, it would be a fair game then, the GOP would have to actually shift their message for city folks then.
Hah, Biden not saying he'd pack the court a smart move now. I wouldn't hope for even 1 seat from Georgia.
By what you just wrote, would it serve all states to abolish the EC? While crazy divisive right now, it seems to be doing its job at representing the nation and giving every region a voice at the table.
notice how these maps call states quick for biden, but hold out all kind of hope to call states for trump. its a joke
Yeah, it's a complicated issue. I do think it is clear though that it's just harder for Dems to control the government enough to represent their voters. You'd definitely see a big shift in campaigns, the GOP would actually have to do work in NY and LA and other major cities and that would definitely tamper down their message. I do not think though, should Trump win, that another 4 years of a majority GOP government and a possible 7-2 court does not represent the country...but I don't think this can continue. 50% of the country gets nothing while a minority gets everything they want. It's just going to get more and more divisive.
