I thought the premiere was really good. Really enjoy this whole take, I've never been a big Star Wars guy but this show is just so good....

Spoilers or no spoilers? I haven't seen anyone mention the last character shown.

That kind of blew me away. But it makes sense. If Jawas somehow got their hands on the armor, then the guy in it probably got out too. But how much time is supposed to have passed between Empire and this show? Like 50 years? I would have thought he would have been way older.

Yeah pretty cool. It'll be interesting to see the direction they go with this character.

was the character on the cliff at the end, a Mandalorian? That was what I took from it. Edit: Oh ****, it's Boba Fett?

Boba Fett. The Marshall was wearing his armor.

What I don't get was how (such a great bounty hunter) would not have known of the existence of a "Mandalorian" on that planet, if he was already there, esp if it was relatively easy for The Mandalorian to find the Marshal. Boba is the best of the bounty hunters. I wouldn't think he'd need help.

Was Boba following the Mandalorian, so wasn't already on the planet?

Wasn't that the actor that played him in the prequels? Or was that his dad? I haven't seen them in a long time.

If you want shows to have lasting power and be popular, it's better to have shows release weekly IMO. Binging means it burns brightly for a week then it's gone. look how well The Boys did when they went to a weekly schedule.

I really like how Jon Favreau humanized the Tusken Raiders. Every Star Wars has portrayed them as simple savages. It's funny how people are more receptive to this kind of themes when they are played by aliens.

When Boba Fett's father was killed in Attack of the Clones, I guess he was ~10 years old. Attack of the Clones was 22 years BBY (Before Battle of Yavin in Star Wars: A New Hope). The Mandalorian occurs ~10 years ABY (After the Battle of Yavin)...or about 4 or 5 years after Return of the Jedi and the destruction of the second Death Star. ~10 years old, plus 22, plus 10...but Bobba Fett somewhere ~42ish years old in Mandalorian.

Yup. Also no chance to squash spoilers if it is all released at once. Better to be weekly so you have a whole week to talk about the aftermath.

Mandalorian is trying to keep a TON of stuff under wraps. Weekly is the best way.

I liked it. Baby Yoda out here eating unborn children. Baby Yoda going to grow up to be a real ass hole I can tell.

Not sure why they would take the show off Tatooine after that big reveal last week though..
