You know Fertits is bad if you would rather be the assistant coach for any other team than the head coach of the Rockets.

A reverse. Silas is a coach and MDA an assistant.

It doesn't matter that D'Antoni is assistant, Kyrie is gonna get Nash fired anyway.

He doesn't need work, my impression is that he want to give some help to Nash

Probably making more than Tilly's extension anyway plus less stress.

MDA loves coaching and Nets have no problem spending to get best resources so he can just focus on what he does best.

Sounds like a win for MDA to me.

i'm under the impression that he wasn't going to be retained anyways. maybe morey gave him the heads up on tilfuk's intentions

anyways, the working conditions are going to be no comparison there compared to patrick & co. but on the other hand i would not want to coach kyrie :D

the entire success of that team depends on Kyrie's ability not to be a complete nutcase. 50/50 at best.

MDA is getting up there in age. He doesn't need the extra stress. Now he can focus on helping his former superstar learn the ropes. It's a win/win.

All this while Irving and Durant said they dont need coach. So Pringels is perfect for them, just sitting there and agreeing

Kevin Durant, if he recovers well from his serious injury, is gonna be the only tall player that D'Antoni ever enjoys coaching.

for people who consider him the second best rockets coach ever, when we hired him he was an assistant with the Sixers after not being able to land a head coaching job, and when he left here he became an assistant after not being able to land a head coaching job.

Definitely the best available option, better than no job at all. My question is doesn't this seem redundant to have them both? I was expecting Nash to have a similar game plan as D'Antoni, how do they differ? Usually assistants specialize in something that varies from and compliments the head coach's thought process. I would have thought a defensive specialist would be paired with Nash.
