This is nonsense. Silas is a brilliant offensive mind and well respected around the league, including by Harden.

You’re just trying to doom this team right off the bat? Sometimes you Just need a new perspective. A coach who will let his team play and guide correct decisions instead of telling them what to do all the time. Plus any kind of butting heads with owners will definitely roll downhill. James is still the man here. Without him, we are the hornets and the kings. Give the man a chance - we can’t really change the reality. Otherwise I’ll have to hear from you all season how right you are. Then when we we do well, I’ll have to blast you. Lol!!!

You thought the NBA jocks were going to let the MIT Wiz kid nerd get a one up on them? For them this is personal. They want big contracts and don't but want to produce unless it's a contract year. Morey is like F that scrub you going to get paid what you are really worth not what you think you are worth.

I don't know when was the last time we had a white starter? Ryan Anderson? I think it has something to do with the players and who they want versus who they could have actually gotten. Yeah, you don't make very many 3's if they are always heavily contested. Name one Rockets that can come off screens and shoot? Gordon perhaps, sometimes? It's about finding a good look vs just launching it and praying. We don't or didn't have a coach to put or players in positions to excel. MDA was just hoping it would all click and decided he wasn't going to coach. It's not about who he couldn't get, Curry, Reddick(is he even in the league still?), Robinson lol. Laker don't have lights out shooters either but they were open high% shots when they took them. KCP played like garbage against us but was all of a sudden hitting 3s in the Finals. His coaches and Stars put him in a position to excel by not being selfish. This all player personnel and coaching. Has nothing to do with Morey.

If you believe those Lakers, they missed out on couple key shooters because Kawhi left them in limbo for about one or two weeks. They could have signed better shooters if they got the word Kawhi wasn't going to join them in advance.

This isn't all about Morey but as part of the NBA, he is aware of how fast players were picked up......

A legit question and concern. All players should be given a chance.

Hockey is always there for you. And the Utah Jazz seem to find a way to address your “concern.” They need fans, I hear.

Yao and Tmac didnt complement each other at all because Tmac wasnt a good 3 pt shooter and his playstyle involved slashing into the paint. Yao Ming is a 7'6 immobile fortress (after all the injuries) he would just stay in the paint all the time clogging the paint so Tmac couldnt do anything.

    Okay.

So? He wasn't the head coach and he had nothing to do with roster construction. He has been an assistant under some very well thought of coaches.

So? Rudy T and Phil Jackson were not in high demand when they got their jobs. Neither was Vogel when the Pacers named him head coach. FWIW Silas interviewed for multiple jobs this fall.

How good was that Hornets team?

Have you heard of sample size?

So? He didn't coach the defense...... he coached the offense, which was arguably the most efficient in NBA history.

Les Alexander wanted McHale. Daryl Morey never choose a Rockets head coach.

I would have been fine with JVG, but he also hasn't coached in the NBA in well over a decade.

Honestly, none of it really matters, the Rockets window closed the minute Tilman pushed through the Westbrook trade.

The idea that a 21 game interim job with the Hornets of all teams has any bearing on his competency as a coach is laughable. Hell, the fact that they were almost .500 is impressive.

Good or bad hire, this has been a brutal off-season. Tillman has set this team back a decade.

problem is, Houston is not heavily coveted by any other head coach candidates either.

lol Equality is equality. We can't have it for one group and not the other. What's wrong with white hoopers? Truth is truth even if you don't like it hear it lil homie. They got their coach now let's see some lights out shooters. They don't have to be starters but holy shi*t.

All around great post but for this one part, no, not arguably. It was the most efficient in NBA history. There is nothing to argue about, it's a fact.

I’m starting to see what this guy was saying. Silas has severely limited one of the best scorers of all time.
