PPat is still in the league. So is morris. sucks lamb just tore his acl but he'll still be around. Obviously Trez. Melton has found a nice role in Memphis. Rudy Gay also in the league still. Dillon Brooks isn't going anywhere anytime soon

    Pre-Injury Chandler Parsons.
6th man of the year Montrezl Harrell.
Found Patrick Beverley in the scrap heap.
Found Luis Scola in the scrap heap.
Traded Rafer Alston for scrap heap Kyle Lowry.
Traded Kyle Lowry for arguably the greatest offensive force ever seen in NBA history.
Traded Donte Greene for Ron Artest.
DeAnthony Melton is a good player.
Patrick Patterson is a good player.
Jeremy Lamb is a good player.
Rudy Gay is a good player, and Shane Battier was a better player.
Hell, Dan House is a damn good player when he isn’t sexing massage therapists.

I agree with Lamb and Trez, Melton is a nice gem.

Morris, though I'll never forgive because he was picked ahead of Kawhi. It isn't hindsight either, I'm sure if you di up that draft day thread you'll see most were begging for us to draft Kawhi. Otherwise, Morris is a nice player.

I think Dmo was a nice player too who just clearly overrated his value.

While Morey was not terrible, I do think that was his one blind spot. At the very least, he's never had (IIRC) a top 10 pick. Off the top of my head, Lamb was the 11th pick and the highest he's ever had. Dmo after that was like 13? Maybe he'd knock it out of the park with a top 5 pick, obviously if you're picking top 5 you HAVE to get it right whereas with mid to late 1st round picks you can take gambles with guys like Capela and then it turns out well for you.

Still working on the craigslist ad. Think $2.25 billion would be an acceptable asking price? Since you're the analytics guy I'd love your input, our beef aside.

I hear the economy's taken a hit lately but apparently Q3 numbers were pretty good. Thoughts?

There are plenty of talented GMs out there besides Morey. But talented GMs mean nothing if the shots are being called from the owner's box.

I'm not counting guys he's found off the street, he's always been good at that or players he drafted and then traded because a lot of times teams you're negotiating with tell you "Hey, draft this guy for us and we'll swap picks and give you this guy..."

I'm only counting players he drafted and had faith enough in to put on our team.

So I don't count Bev, Scola, Lowry, Artest, Gay.

Of course, wheeling and dealing, he's one of the best.

I agree, as Knick fans have found out. I was just judging his draft history.

He doesn't hit hr's on all draft picks but thats the name of the game. nobody does. and as you've pointed out he's never had a high pick. most are late or 2nd rounders

Look Daryl, I'd love to bury the hatchet. Here's my 3 step plan:

    1. Get you back as GM. You'll have full autonomy to spam as many 3's as you want every night (after all, 3 is worth more than 2) with a roster where nobody over 6'5'' plays a significant role.
    2. I'll sell the team. I'd like to make a profit if at all possible though, because as is well known, I'm pretty much broke.
    3. Sell this Clutchfans account back to its original owner. Since you've outed me, it no longer serves its purpose anyway.

As you know, I've already put some of these details in motion. But the most important piece is you. Please come back Daryl.
