The Reason That 9-11 Happened is because our country doesn't pray enough. That's what my dumbass bible teacher said to day. I couldn't believe that anyone would be dumb enough to say that. What a jackass. The saddest thing was that me and my friends (like 5 kids out of 30 kids in my class) were the only people that disagreed with him. Everyone agreed. All these christian kids buy itno whatever they are told. they don't think for themselves. I can't stand my Christian school. I'm not a christian, and my parents force me to go to a fundamentalist christian school. It sucks.
I am a christian and I graduated from a christian school. I had two years of Theology at a catholic school and one semester of Bible class at a Baptist school. Still, I hate how some people, not just Christians, damage the image of their religion by making ignorant statements such as thisl
I'm not saying you are wrong, but some people have faith and believe in different things. Is that wrong? Christian kids having faith and agreeing with your teacher? How dare them! I don't know why your parents force you to go to this school, but obviously it doesnt work for you and that's ok, but there is no need to criticize others beliefs. AND Shouldn't this be in the D&D?
Sorry forgot to add that I don't agree with the statement of the teacher, but I'm just saying if that's what she or anyone else wants to believe then there is nothing wrong with that
i'm not saying that that is wrong. i'm just saying that the kids in my class take controversial stuff that he says as fact no matter what. like he could say that jesus said it's okay to do drugs and they'd probably agree with him. I don't know why your parents force you to go to this school, but obviously it doesnt work for you and that's ok, but there is no need to criticize others beliefs. i'm not insulting the christian faith. i'm just saying that i don't get how anyone could blame the events of 9-11 on the citizens of our country.
that's doopid. We all know it happened because of bad people that buy drugs, which goes to fund the terrorists, as the post-9/11 superbowl commercials taught us.
I could not agree more. My sentiments and dilema as well. My opinion is that I understand prayer is key (as least in my life) but the it is quite too simplistic to blame9-11 on the nation's prayer shortcomings. God (Jehova) is one of grace and loving kindness. His grace is the only reason why we (or at least me) enjoy the goodness of our daily lives. So how many people's prayer does God need to move? Why did God allow 9-11? What went wrong in the spiritual realm? Is it conceivable to think or believe that the consequence that led to the event of that faithful day was a pre-destined one from a long time ago? It is indeed short sighted and overtly simplistic IMHO to take the stance that teacher did. As in the case of Sodom and Gomorah, God displayed to us that he could save a city from distruction even with only 10 righteous, God abiding and "prayerful" people in it. So that tells me that God does not need us all to pray in order to move - remember Jesus Christ reminded us that if only we could exhibit faith even as small as a mustard seed, we will/could move mountains. God can save a 400-seater plane from condemnation/destruction if only one person is under his wings and protected by his grace (regardless of the orientation of the other persengers). The president's prayer could be enough to save us from 9-11. Do you believe that? I do. Lets say he had a vision or dream about an impending catastrophe (like King Pharaoh did in the time of Joseph the dreamer), he could go in fasting and prayer in order to ask for God's grace to avert it. He even does not need to see and vision or dreams but I know that the fervent prayer of the righteous availeth [sic] much. Another thing that irks and turns me off is the way the REPUBLICANS have taken Christianity as their birth right - hypocrisy and hopycrites at the highest level. As I grow daily, I realized how much more we don't know Jehova or even understand Him. Using Christian or the Church for cheap political popularity is wrong in my opinion and downright anti-christ. This also goes to the black churches as well that do the similar think. But enough of that - I am now partially comfortable with the fact that this "problem" is here to stay (just like gay marriage is here to stay now or soonest).
