    Agree completely. I believe tree is really busy with his kid, etc. But honestly, people would really have to show a lot of class if he comes back around.

    Typical B-Bob tactic....take the high road in the BBS, posture like your above the fray, and then continue messing with me in real life.

    Hmmm....any coincidence that my Ebay customer feedback ratio on my once lucrative Furbie, Care Bear and Beanie Baby trading went from 99.6% positive to only 54% positive after a bunch of negative comments from "Bob B." ("Shoddy merchandise, shipping took 4 ever! n his Costume sux!"). Thanks to you, now there's no chance of me ever being a power seller. You sabotage my passion and now you call a truce? Yeah right!

    I ain't smart enough to argue without resorting to personal insults. (just like Karl Rove)

    Bammer's a libertarian militarist, don't insult him with that consevative lable.;)

    I am the most influential poster in the history of the Debate & Discussion forum. There is no debating this.

    Operation Rope-A-Dope has worked *much* better than I predicted. Obviously I have never had a reason to question my abilities, but these results have far surpassed even my most optimistic expectations.

    Phase II is in the works. I expect it to be equally successful.

    GOOD DAY

    Funny... that's just what this bleeding heart liberal was thinking. Some may think that were we ever to meet we come to blows, but I always picture us just laughing and having a beer.

    Dude, are you serious?! :eek:

    I'm not sure B-Bob would do something like that, but whoever did is pretty weak.

    Hey, GV, can you see why I was forced to get a restraining order issued for the guy. It's sad. :(

    And he somehow thinks that there aren't any other "Bob"s in the entire cyber world, or other people who would see that his merchendise is marked by inferior quality and artificially inflated prices (like you can't tell who "SF lOve bEAr!" is who keeps overbidding way before deadlines?). Nevermind that his products (at least in the filthy way he advertises them) promote the moral decline of our culture!

    I harken back to my days as student at Rice to really understand this thread.

    By definition in this world, an increase in disorder is spontaneous. Every change to a constant system (or bbs) is one which increases disorder. The only way in which disorder could be lessed is if there is a decrease in the volume or the energy of the bbs. I believe we have seen just this in recent times, a decrease in volume of certain posters. Assuming energy is conserved, if we bring the volume of posters on the bbs back to "normal" levels, we will see a corresponding increase in disorder, or an increase in Entropy. Therefore, RM's plea is one which violates the core principals of the 2nd law of thermodynamics, and one which I cannot fundamentally stand behind.

    rocketman;

    I hear ya. I'm on a few other news/political fora and the tone in most of them has gotten harder.

    I generally try to keep a rule of not taking things personally but get heated every now and then. I think with the election, ongoing war in Iraq and terrorism concerns people start spoiling for a rhetorical fight.

    For me personally that the Rox, &*^^%$%ing! inconsistent play at the end of the season has also been exasperating me to no end and some of that has been slipping into discussions on other issues.

    I've quit posting in the GARM because I too dam frustrated about the Rox. :mad:

    Did you really hope for this to work? I appreciate the sentiment, and the thread may even affect the tone of the whole forum for maybe the remainder of the week. But, everyone will eventually return to their natural patterns, sadly enough.

    Btw, in the whole B-Bob/Sam Fisher fight that's always brewing here, I really have no idea what's going on. Given B-Bob's character, I can never tell if he's joking or being serious. I'd put them both on ignore, but B-Bob's too funny for that.

    Although I've not met KingCheetah, Sam or Bob, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume that:

    1. They do not dress up in fuzzy animal suits for the purposes of sexual gratification (nttawwt);
    2. Sam does not run a budding ebay empire centered around the sale of beanie babies & other such furry sundries;
    3. Certain posters' sarcasm/humor detectors need a tune-up.

    Or maybe not.

    Buck, that's an affront to marsupials everywhere... victims of suppression by ALL past administrations, subject to wiretaps, indiscriminate arrest and interrogation, their children harassed at school, for god's sake... oh, the humanity!

    Uh, I mean, "Oh, the marsupials!"... mmmm, something like that.
    Maybe it's, "Oh, the humanity impersonating marsupials!" They suffer so needlessly. They and their poor family members.

    I don't know about that Cheetah guy, (he's the one who started all of this ;) ), but at any rate, I'll say this. At some point, how can you distinguish degrees of depravity for people who either (a) dress up in animal costumes to get turned on, or (b) pretend on an internet site to dress up in animal costumes to get turned on? I'm not sure which is more of an indictment.

    And basso, good luck on the job search. Seriously. :)
