I'd say this was a slight victory for Trump - mainly because he doesn't have the stutter and is an excellent attacker when he is in control.
The talk around the oil industry does him no favours. He's not winning any votes he doesn't already have with his stance. Therefore it's a net negative.
Joe Biden needs to stop memorizing and just say it naturally. You can tell whenever he's trying to repeat a script he struggles mightily and just stops making sense.
Trump will milk this now, to try and win the states he listed. His instincts are strong. He immediately pounced. Actually hard to believe they are only 3 years or so apart. Trump seems a lot more energetic.
Good analysis, I’m still shook that what we thought was the most biased moderator turned out to be the most neutral and most fair I have to say.
TBH, O&G workers seem to be voting left quite a bit at least in my experience. And it really doesn't matter what they say on TV. O&G workers are old/stubborn, they've made their decisions before turning the TV on.
It's puzzling that Biden can't say to Trump when he says he didn't do anything for 8 years as Veep, and Biden can say, you not only have done nothing for 4 years as President, but you have undone everything we accomplished just to make you feel good.
He really doesn't have to. It's about turn out for Biden. Young people need to turn out and young people aren't going to whip out their small violins for the oil industry to shrink down by 2035.
Those aren't Hispanics who vote - they're the illegals. Many Hispanics who are legitimate citizens value the rule of law - in fact that's why many of them come here - to escape corruption and it's negative consequences (poverty, lousy economies) in places like Mexico and Cuba
He prob said his plan at a fundraiser and didn't want to get caught in a lie. Or maybe he just tired and telegraphed what's gonna happen
The problem with Biden speaking naturally is when he gets into trouble such as telling long rambling stories that ore often questionable.
He is a shark in the animal model. Works well in negotiations but it is not a one size fits all and it’s why he failed at COVID.
Yes calling any group of humans who aren't evil "low iq" is seen as unempathetic and crude. This won't go over well with suburban women voters and in general people with more empathy.
I mean, it's literally what happened. I'm not making a value judgment, so don't get your partisan hackles up.
This is part the point... but not all of it. Biden shoots himself in the foot here by giving Trump ammunition to twist his words into something that is detrimental for swing voters. When you give someone with the audacity to spin BS on a whim, they're probably going to take it and make you pay for it.
Texas yes. Not sure how Penn and Ohio will react. But maybe he'll offset that with his honesty and how he sold himself as the integrity candidate Yeah Biden seems to have a "last mile" problem getting his thoughts out. I liken him to an old golden retriever in his last years. Trump probably juiced up on something...cuz projection
