I'm with you, my friend. Here until the end! There are so few reasons that I would abandon the team (we hire a murderer/woman beater/child-anything inappropriate-r/terrible human type things). Daryl Morey wasn't here when I became a fan. I'm not surprised that he's gone and I'm still a fan. It sucks some of the air out of the room, but there's plenty of oxygen in toyota center. Breathe up, my fellow Rockets fans... it's just another turn on a journey!

Unless COVID completely bankrupts Tilman, he will be here for decades.

For those of us who have been around for a while, we have witnessed Tilmans business style. We are pretty much the Olive Garden of Italian food. Can't blame someone for not wanting to participate.

Trade Harden then. Folks whine and b**** about Harden constantly around here. Harden traded winning a championship for a long term super max contract. Had he taken a shorter deal maybe he could have left for a destination with other stars. Morey built a mediocre shooting team that is old, small, slow and boxed in salary cap wise. Maybe it’s time for both sides to move on.

So every single time I see your posts I'm like, "Who's the f-ing Celtics fa.. oh wait. That's Trey. Never mind."

The Starbucks logo and satirical version fool me which brings me to a ... did you know?

Did you know... that Starbucks coffee is named after a character in Herman Melville's Moby Dick named Starbuck? [side note: I would like to say that Moby Dick is in my opinion the greatest piece of writing in American history and my favorite book I've ever read. It outshines anything written on paper ever.. in my opinion.] I find the naming of a coffee joint as "Starbuck's" to be pretty clever. Starbuck is the voice of reason versus Captain Ahab who is the voice of insanity in the book. Captain Ahab wants to go kill a whale for taking his leg in an earlier whaling incident and Starbuck is like you're insane. That whale has absolutely zero idea of who you are. Coffee giving you some clarity in the morning.. Starbuck.. Ahab.. Yeah, so that name for a coffee joint is pretty much perfect if you ask me.

I will not stand by much of what Starbucks does as a company because I'm uninformed about them, but they were providing healthcare to part-time employees back in the day and that was pretty forward thinking 20 years ago. Not sure if they still do that.

it’s a bit from Nathan for You. I highly recommend watching the Dumb Starbucks episode.

Here is a clip from an interview he gave to news organizations in LA.

I think I’m going to make a Dumb Rockets team to compete for the Houston market.

From my understanding Starbucks is a very good company to work for. I knew people in college (a decade ago by now) who worked part time and got full benefits.

Love that show. I've even seen that episode but somehow that escaped me! I love that one where he competes with the price of televisions for a small company with Best Buy. I think the TVs to purchase were behind a tiny door and then guarded by an alligator. Poop flavored ice cream? Lie detector for your mechanic.. Nathan truly did graduate from a renown business school with really good grades.

The Finding Frances finale is one of my favorite pieces of media in any form. I should have known a man with the Don as his avatar was a man of taste.

I agree with half of this. Ironically I remember being cautious and lamenting people bashing Tilman his first year, and remember you being one of those people. But the Westbrook trade was the tipping point... for many things it seems.

I've been an avid NBA and Rockets fan for over 30 years. Thing is the NBA has effectively morphed into a political organization but I watch sports to escape from that sort of thing. I just want to root for my team and favorite players - I think this was the first NBA finals I did not watch in as long as I can remember.

The fact the Rockets seem to be aimless and in limbo at the moment weakens my motivation even further. When I read that the team was "voting" on their preference for head coach I think my level of Rockets fan energy hit as close to zero as anytime since I started watching Rockets Basketball.

I hope the NBA and the Rockets find a way to electrify fans again rather than demoralize half of them.

    Just my .02c

I’ve been a fan for 33 years. And will always be a fan. But I’m not gonna just give attention, money and time to an organization - led by a owner - that’s just looking take advantage of a presumed built in audience for the 4th largest metropolis in the US and a worldwide brand; and they’re looking to do this without a best faith effort at putting out a compelling product.

Nope — being a fan without demanding that the org respect the our fandom and invest in a winning product... that’s just being a sucker for a casino owner.

Exactly my sentiment, except that I left Houston earlier than you. Still rooting for all Houston teams.

At my age, I don't have many 20 years left. By the time the Rockets are good again, I'm probably half way in the grave already.

i admire the die hards. altho htine is home for many of us, that doesn't mean we have to root for a team owned by a selfish, delusional, nepotistic mafia. i already don't watch nba games, but i'll follow highlights of the young upcoming stars, zion doncic.

That was funny. I swear that guy doesn't care how you react, he's got a way to play off of it in an open way until he can plan the next step.

It's like the comedy documentary version of choose your own adventure, but he'll write something funny out of whatever happens.

Have you seen “I think you should leave” on Netflix? I recommend everyone give that a shot if you enjoy comedy.

Either you're a true Rockets fan or you aren't. It's in the tough times that we separate the wheat from the chaff.

His businesses already taken a massive hit.

He'd find a way to stay alive and cheap though.

Lmao if they are fan of this forum board, they'll talk Rox.

Never been someone who whined about others' fandom, it's never been my cup of coffee.

Some fans and non fans are bitter and chippy all alike, there is not much difference.

However, you do want to limit bad content.
