The new GM is just another Morey and Harden is getting the coach he wants, so don’t think with Morey gone, it’s the end of small ball nor iso ball for that matter. Just a different guy to hate or praise.
The guy who was just hired isn't anti-analytics but look at his profession prior to joining the legal team of the Houston Rockets. He was in mergers and acquisitions. He's a number wizard. He's going to get luxury tax savings on accident very well. He's just warming the seat for Patrick, I give it three years.

RS started in 2005 as the general counsel for the Rockets before being promoted through the org. i.e. He is a lawyer. So in effect the Rockets have appointed a basketball lawyer as the new temporary GM. Does this sound wise - jury is still out but... Of course the danger is temp GM's can often become the permanent GM. I would also add that this means a lawyer will play a fundamental role in selecting the coach...
