    The White House has reportedly embraced a declaration by a group of scientists arguing for a “herd immunity” strategy to deal with America’s coronavirus pandemic—days after the validity of the declaration came under question due to a number of apparently fake names among its expert signatories, including “Dr. Johnny Bananas.”

    According to The New York Times, on a call convened Monday by the White House, two anonymous administration officials cited the petition, titled The Great Barrington Declaration, which argues that COVID-19 should be allowed to spread through the population. The declaration’s website claims the petition has been signed by more than 15,000 scientists, but, last week, Sky News found dozens of fake names on the list of medical signatories, including Dr. I.P. Freely, Dr. Person Fakename, and Dr. Johnny Bananas.

    you have to admit johnny bananas is a great name..

    1000 years from now the footnote can read "donald trump: the johnny bananas presidency"

    fitting metaphor for this presidency and the repugs that enabled it

    this administration is so stupid it’s still sometimes hard to believe

    also, to undergo a plan of “herd immunity,” it would result in the death of 5+ million Americans...that is a Holocaust level event

    And for what? Scientists aren’t even sure how long immunity would last. Many think it’s only a few months.

    you have to wonder if they are crazy/stupid enough to try to hack voting machines or similar. i think they are.

    people talk about future presidents related to how to treat current and you will be hard pressed to find someone down the line as bad.

    this is sick sad comedy and you are right herd immunity is holocaust and science ( oops that word again) is showing CAN get twice.

    trump now will outdo us all with 400 million in debt and the only president to get it twice!
    nobody knows it like trump!

    We laugh about it........ but consider for a moment that this incompetent and ignorant ******* and the third rate pandering and self serving assholes around him are in control of the most powerful nation in the world. It is really hard to really wrap your head around. A man with the mentality and the less of curiosity that is expected from a 70 year old shoe salesman is President of the USA.... I just cannot accept it.
