I wish Daryl the best. I understand why he wants out. I think the Rockets ownership situation is the worst in the league by far.

With the promotion of Stone, @Nook might have just moved one layer closer to da Real GM.

 

Im piss off about this just as much as everyone on this board but some of y’all need to chill out because sometimes change is good Daryl been here long enough. I believe it was his decision because maybe he was feeling its time to part ways because it never really worked out for the Rockets these past 13 years the truth hurts

this does open the door for us to offer Popovich both the Coach and GM position, so he doesn't have be a rebuilder at SA.

This is one of my sadder sports days.

 

Saw this coming ever since Fall 2019. Just didn't see how Morey could, in good conscience, continue to stay with the Rockets (and the NBA in general) after this season was over.

Morey has done a lot of good for the Rockets, and I wish him well. That said, I hope the next GM (and coach) is a bit less...nerdy.

 

When Tilly forced Morey to trade CP3 for Rus and then trade Clint to fully divest into small ball I knew he was outta here. He looked completely checked out in the bubble. I hope he truly enjoys his time off with his kids, what a lucky b*stard to be able to do that. And if he decides to get back into basketball I'll be rooting for him.

 

It had to be over coach and with Lue signing in LA Clippers it seems like Morey wanted him. **** I am sad because Morey Is a legend but on the other hand I would be sad if Ty Lue became coach too

 

I read this as Morey quitting because of a **** owner forcing moves on him and handcuffing him with money constraints. He was a fantastic GM, can’t even remotely understand the other side of that argument.

Crazy that less than a year ago, the Astros and Rockets had 2 of the best GMs in their sports. Texans should hire him.

 

The change is almost complete. The last step is we change the name from the Rockets to the Bubba Gumps.

 

Not a good day. Sadly it felt like this was inevitable once Tilman took over.
