Howdy folks. I need ya’ll to check out www.apolloxviii.com. It’s my new band. I still have Pulltab and will continue to release music as Pulltab but decided to put together another band with a different feel. I would love for you to check out the new Astros song. Apollo XVIII consists of yours truly with lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Frank (from lemonenemy) on lead guitar and back-ups, John Leach on bass and back-ups, and Gonzo (from Duro) on drums and back-ups. Kevin from Pulltab laid down the synth solo. We have a much edgier feel and listen for the song on The Buzz, The Ticket in Dallas, and on Fox Sports Southwest…so far. As always let me know what you think and also listen for the Easter eggs.
As always it sounds good. I listened close but I have one question, what eggsactly does an easter egg sound like
Hey Chance, I was listening last Friday when they played your new promo for the 6 pack at 6. That was pretty cool.
Thanks man! I am sooooo proud of that thing. I loved listening to the archival jingles and trying to match that seemingly lost art! Thanks for listening! chance
thank, thanks, thanks, thanks, and thanks. thank you especially Casey Fo Shizzle. Easter Eggs sound like baking soda in a tin pan with partially melted M&M's being shaken slowly at frst then violently. Not really. EE's are hidden little nuggets in a song, commercial, movie, painting, video game, whatever that are known by the artist but not the general public. For example the synthesized symbols in Airbull were pulled out and replaced with the "psssht" of a beer can opening, hence the name Pulltab. Ditto for one of the percussion parts of The Yao Ming Song. Some of the parts are very subtle. Ont he Trailer Wheel and Frame jingle there is an underlying acoustic guitar playing that we played backwards. As in instead of playing A-E-A-E-A-B-E-B-E-A we played A-E-B-E-B-A-E-A-E-A in the same time sequence and then played it backwards through the tape. We did this to represent how backwards TWF seemed. The Astros song has a well produced aster Egg in it and I went to Spring high School. Chance
Sweet tune... Has a sped-up "Invisible Sun" feel to it from the Police days (especially in the chord progression at the end of the chorus.) You rock.
killer. we are shooting some stuff with Channel 11 Wed. after the rox game. it'll air thur. on the news. sweeeeet
Are you asking too much money for the Yao Ming song? They dont play it enough at the Toyota Center and I really miss it
