I bailed on this show when it turned into a straight soap opera with Batista and Maria awkwardly getting together. Is it worth picking back up?
Last few seasons were rough......I'll give the revival a shot since it's the original showrunner (season 1-4), hopefully they give this a proper send off....
Honestly? If it's made by the same guys responsible for Seasons 1-4, then I am in. I still cannot believe how badly it ended. One of my favorites of all time, and then the final 2 seasons came....
I used to love this show. True the series went a bit down hill. As far as what Michael C. Hall is remembered for, this is probably he's peak. The memes that have lived on from the show. --- Wonder what Dominic West is up to nowadays. He should team up with Dave Simon and do another season of the Wire (or a shorten series), but use today's wiretap technologies
Yeah, the series was great until the end. It definitely went down hill with the series finally being the absolute worst. But the highs were among the best.
I was actually pretty okay with 7. 6 was a dumpster fire, 7 kinda recovered. Everything Isaak Sirko was great, it was just the after-Sirko stuff that was pretty meh (besides Doakes flashback!). If they had ended the entire show on the season 7 finale cliffhanger? "Imagine your own ending" kinda thing? That would been kinda alright to me. Not as good as Dexter actually dying or going to prison, but better than what we got. Season 8 though... it was definitely bad. On balance less bad than 6. But that finale man. Worst finale I've ever seen in any show, ever. Comically, impossibly bad. I'm not usually in favor of this sort of comeback, but that finale was *so bad*... why not? I mean, they can't make it worse. If they somehow managed to make it worse, well, that would be art my friend.
well.. the least season was extremely bad ,like GOT level disappointing. basically the writers should walk around in public with paper bags bad
