This is like Groundhog Day. The same shitty game over and over. Our pitching for the most part dominates. Our bats are relatively hot but just can’t get over the hump to break open a big inning. And the Rays capitalize on absolutely every single opportunity they are handed. this sucks but at least we can take solace in the fact that no team could surmount whatever cosmic forces are arrayed against us in this series. I also don’t see the Rays winning the WS with this pitching and with their best bats being ice cold.
Rays are a better all around team but not this much better to be on the verge of a sweep. The Astros has been coming up small in big moments as this series has gone on.
There are a lot of things I could type on here, but the reality is that there are absolutely no words in the english language that can properly convey the frustration. Just none. Going to bed. Tomorrow is a new day. Let's just get a damn win tomorrow. Weird, Asperger Greinke vibes need to rub off on the entire team. Let's go be the 2004 Red Sox. Given everything this team has gone through it would be the Trollstros way to do it. Hasta Manana.
Tbh at this point Javier easily for me. Hard to even trust greinke to even eat up a small number Innings especially vs this tb team
Sucks. The Stros had myriad chances and just could not take advantage. Tampa did. A little luck and a lot better baseball by the Stros makes this a different conversation
Tampa rank 28 in payroll. Astros rank fourth. Tampa is one win from the WS. Too many expensive bums for the Stros. Riddick should be the first one gone.
Hey i know all the haters are creaming themselves we are down 3-0 but how epic would it be if we were the only other team besides the 04 soxx to come back from that defecit. gotta take it 1 day at a time Rays were looking cocky , hopefully they get a big dose of karma Zach is exactly who we need on the mound for G4 . this has been about the unluckiest ive seen a team get , some of it is self inflicted . Dusty needs to rip a big ass fart and get these guys loose. It would help if the rays stopped making diving catches
Pretending we have Verlander, Yordan, Osuna and the rest of our bullpen and that we weren't playing with a bunch of kids on the mount apart from Greinke and LMjr who himself was coming off TJS. And that the Rays haven't been arguably the best team in baseball all season and are at full health.
