It must really suck to be you. Bringing gloom and doom to a thread near you. They just won the series for ****s sake.
Former pitcher here who underwent Tommy John surgery and made an unsuccessful comeback... There is a very physiological analysis that I could weigh in on, which would of course take into consideration the age of Greinke as well as the milage already placed on his arm. But that's not what I'm going to do, because it's Zack "Stinky" Greinke we're talking about here. He eats half a porterhouse steak for breakfast every morning for God sake, he's not some soy boy who you could fit a lobster claw band around his arm. The fibers in his pitching arm have uniquely adapted to self heal at record speed in coastal climates. You think a man who isn't ashamed to call his teammates out on not washing their hands after going number 2 is going to worry about a little arm tendinitis? NO! This man has been making "dem hoes mad" for over a decade, and he's not about to stop now. Just make sure you're wife isn't in the room next time you turn on the TV and Zack takes the mound. He's got unfinished business.
I love, LOVE this. It's so simple yet conveys so much how I feel. I am surprised I have not seen it used more.

I'm not one who is in to trolling, but today my blood pressure is up from all the salty tears I have been drinking today. Especially from the b****es over at the Baseballer on Facebook.
Same. I remember being more concerned personally when we played against the Rays last postseason as opposed to the Yankees.
Stats company employees must be super-bored - they always find the weirdest and most random stats. Who even thought to look this up?
Comes down to whether the Astros bats will fair better against the Rays pitchers... or will the Astros pitchers be able to hold down the Yankees lineup. I do think they will hit the Yankees well... albeit baseball can be funny where everybody is hot, then everybody gets cold. I also think the Rays have a bullpen that is unmatched and perfectly designed for these 5 or 7 day series. In the end, whoever can manage the bullpen fatigue (or get the most out of their starters) will fair the best. Astros in a good position with Framber/LMJ/Urquidy all set to go on full rest.
