Post whatever you want about Yao. You may not realize this, but my world doesn't come crashing down when people say negative things about Yao. In the meantime:

    Rockets trade Steve Francis
Warriors trade Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Evan Eschmeyer, Popeye Jones (released), Brian Cardinal (released)

I wish you guys would meet up for a game or something. No way you would be this rude to each other if you shared a beer and saw each other once. You would probably have a lot more in common than you think.

I must say I've been trying to avoid Juugie's battles with the other posters just because they've been very unpleasant. So much negativity can really ruin things around here. The Internet kinda of stinks sometimes.

As I sit in my downtown NYC cubicle working on following up a successful fiscal year of developing sports trading cards, after leaving my posh Flatiron luxury apartment, I find it funny that someone would actually use their job status and success as part of an argument over a pro basketball team. Sort of reminds me of those Holiday Inn commercials:

"Are you sure you're qualified to expertly critique Yao's game?"
"No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night."

I understand you're getting badgered quite a bit, but tone down the elitist attitude. It's not helping.

And as for your proposal... request denied. We're here to talk about the good... and the bad... of Rockets basketball.

I hope you dont mind if I consider using this as part of my sig with a little edit:

"Are you sure you're qualified to expertly critique SF/Yao's game?"
"No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night."

Hell No, I'm gonna bash Yao everytime he plays like a p***y, which has been every game for the past month, but if he continues to play like this in the playoffs, then you can expect a few posts from me about Yao. Yao is the so called MAN on this team but yet when he is needed the most he flops. If this dude does the same shizzle in the playoffs then its gonna be an all out barage on Yao, and Yao only.

Accepted. No more bashing on players. Even if they get swept, I'm 100% supportive just like in 93, 94, 95, etc.

Boy, I just wish some of you can remember the types of things we said about some of the old players we now glorify:

"Smith sucks as a point guard.."
"Elie has nothing to his game except a 3-point shot"
"We need a PF who can hit an outside shot, unlike Thorpe"
"Maxwell should never take another 3-pointer. So inconsistent!"

Yep, this would have been the typical posts after game 2 of Phoenix in 1994. Which is fine, but I think it's a little hypocritical for some of us to say now how "great" our team was back then.

So, I'm taking a chance on the Rockets making some noise in the playoffs, maybe even shocking us. But I welcome all the negative posters, too- what fun would it be w/o a little con-tro-ver-sy?

This thread is kind of like someone peeing on the altar in church every time after the mass and then, after having done it 50 times, making a big announcement that he will not be doing it during Christmas time, if everyone else agrees not to do it.

But I commend you for letting us know that you are fighting your verbal incontinence ;).
