Sometimes the players just have to get the job done, and they didn't today outside of the offense.

Hopefully we can come out and win game two tomorrow!

You absolutely hate it. It's a damn shame :(. Gotta win the next one because it's a crapshoot in a Game 5.

    That was a trash loss.

    baker handed it to them.

terrible decision to put james back in and leave him in after the 1st 2 reached.

    get ‘em tomorrow

Yes, it's beyond me why Dusty would have gone with James in that situation. And it's REALLY beyond me why he would have gone with James for a SECOND ****ING INNING after getting out of the first inning. At that point, it should have ALWAYS been Javier. You don't think about tomorrow when you have a 3 run lead with 3 innings to go in an elimination game. It's the same type of asinine managing that has us putting in Will mother****ing Harris instead of Gerrit Cole in Game 7 of the goddamned World Series. You ALWAYS go with the proven guy, and then figure out the rest later.

Javier is part of the "reliable" bullpen entrusted to close out a series, and hold a 3 run lead.... especially without Paredes available and Pressly possibly less effective with 3 days in a row.

Grienke may not be able to pitch at all the next 2 games. I believe that's why Dusty gave a longer leash but James shoulda been pulled for Scrubb imo...

Wouldnt that go back to your question of who we put in there? Javier was our chance to hide the **** hole of a pen we have.

Urquidy didn't go deep into the game like we needed him to, can't hide the holes in the bullpen forever, this was bound to happen.

Paredes has pitched 2 innings once. That still leaves Javier 6 innings to pitch starting tied assuming Pressly gets 9th.

Scrubb then Javier would have been nice. If you go back and look I said when JJ gave up the single to pull him...he had already pulled a Houdini with the DP the inning before. At 7.27 ERA coming in, he is definitely prone to meltdowns. I agree you seize the moment and shut it down when the opportunity is there.
