This is funnier every time I see it. This whole Saturday event. The supreme court nomination event. Hilarious. Funnier than any movie I've seen in a while.

Let's see if I can sum this up succinctly...

So, as recently as a month ago, Republicans were blaming democratic cities for the inflated numbers of coronavirus. Smart money was telling them that it was simply population dense cities and mass transportation. They denied this while largely, as a political party, refusing to wear masks.

They made this thing political, following the blind lead of the Idiot in Chief and his family of dumb Beverly Hillbillies.

Then, they prey off the death of a Supreme Court Justice and try to jam through a new nominee - something many of them vowed not to do in an election year, let alone within a month of an election. They made this vow on tape.

In order to hurry this along, they had a big soiree at the White House. They still refused to wear masks, despite scientific evidence suggesting them. This soiree turned into a super spreader event.

Now, the President, First Lady, Kellyanne Conway, The RNC Chair, Trump's Campaign manager, two senators, Chris Christie, a professor, white house staffers, and more have Covid.

Potentially having it: Supreme Court Justice nominee that was the subject of the soiree, Vice President, Attorney General, more senators, Kushner, Rudy Guiliani, and many many donors.

Basically all the big players. These people just haven't tested positive yet because of an incubation period. Some will not do well with this disease. We could have multiple high profile political deaths because of these idiots.

All of this is happening ONE MONTH before the election.

This is what happens when you politicize a pandemic, and then turn out to be wrong. Look, I'm not opposed to voting Republican in the future. I agree with them on some things. But if you're a Trump supporter, how in the absolute hell can you consider voting for him?

This man is a fraud. A self-serving lunatic. He doesn't care about you. If that's not evidenced by the coronavirus response thread (read the first post) and now him having it, I don't know what is. We've been lied to for too long. Wake up people.

Half of Americans have seen though it for a long time. It's time to open your eyes if you plan to vote for Trump. There's no way this man can last another four years.

I know this is another thread that we may not need, but I didn't want this to get buried in the Trump thread.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE A POLITICAL GAMBLE AND LOSE. IF YOU VOTE FOR THIS MAN, YOU'RE AN IDIOT.

As Jimmy Kimmel just said, "funny when you're skydiving and wear a parachute you usually land pretty well. If you don't wear a parachute, you tend to splatter on the ground."

Those Bigs convinced everyday people that they rather die in principle to Roam Free maskless.

Pretty vile as a platform and I hope they all practice it to Calm Everyone Down With Their Panic p*rn

I respect people who have the guts to stand up and say the truth. Unlike so many closet Trump voters here.

Thanks, but yes this has been an embarrassing charade.

I prefer Trump based on conservatism values and individual rights vs big government over Biden but it’s almost comical at this point about how the inner circle of the executive branch has been affected by Covid when they should have been wearing the dam mask lol, it’s not hard and I been for masks from the beginning myself

Don't forget it's "the China virus," so Trump allowed himself to be taken out of action by the Chinese.
Our national security is weaker tonight.

As much as it pains me to point it out, the woman who shouldn’t be a nominee for the Supreme Court for a host of reasons had Covid-19 this past summer, along with her husband. We’ll just have to hope that enough Republican Senators get the Plague and are incapacitated until after Biden’s inauguration to prevent her taking a seat that shouldn’t be filled until after the new president takes office, in my opinion.

I would like to point out that in the presidential contest of 2000, Al Gore won the popular vote, yet George W. Bush, with help from the antiquated Electoral College, assumed the presidency in a highly controversial election interfered with by the Supreme Court. Bush subsequently appointed and had confirmed Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito.

In 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote with a plurality of nearly 3 million votes, yet trump “won” the election with help from the antiquated Electoral College in a highly controversial election that all of our national security agencies said was interfered with by a foreign power. He has had Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch confirmed to the Supreme Court, and probably will also manage to have nominee Barrett confirmed, as well.

That would be 5 seated Supreme Court Justices placed there by 2 presidents “elected” by a minority of the citizens of the United States. That’s the “democracy” we live in. A republic with its presidential elections determined by an undemocratic Electoral College that has given us a Supreme Court that does not reflect the will of the American people, or their political beliefs. An American public that is definitely more moderate than the makeup of the Supreme Court reflects. I think it is worth pointing that out, and I strongly believe than the electoral college system should be eliminated. In fact, that it should never have been in our constitution to begin with.

Big government? You do realize trump doubled Obama’s deficit even before the corona virus right?

So these people getting covid is comedy. We have a different sense of humor no doubt. I know many people will laugh if trump goes out like this and that is very disappointing.

Did you really think people would have sympathy for Trump after he has shown absolutely no sympathy for people who have caught covid? Why would they give kindness to a man who has shown no kindness whatsoever?

What is more hilarious is the self righteous indignation of conservatives after being complete pieces of **** with regards to COVID, race relations, and pretty much every other social and political issue. Perhaps instead of clutching your pearls you and your like should be introspective, ask why, and then learn some empathy.
