So I'm thinking to travel and have some fun in May, but as I look around the map of States, no places/States can really excite me. Some of the past places I traveled to and have fun memories: Cali, from SF to LA. East coast, From DC to NY to Boston. Florida, from Orlando to miami to Key west. Mountain States, from SLC to Yellowstone. Las Vegas So, what's your recommendation for some fun travel in this season?
What type of vacation are you looking for? Big City, Beach, Outdoors etc or just something different? Also are you a golfer?
Good call on New Orleans. The grub is amazing and the night life is even better. If you have never been it would really worth it.
I'm looking for anything that's exciting and an unique experience. Be it really interesting city like NY and SF, or gorgeous nature like Florida beaches and National Parks.
I've considered it, actually. I know it's famous for Mardi Gras. Is there anything to see/do other than crazy girls taking their top off?
New England is kick-ass. You've got the rocky Maine coast, one of the best cities in the world (Boston), Vermont countryside, and New Hampshire mountains. Good luck, dude!
I'm going to Vegas in May, it will be my 4th trip, and I'm only going to be 20 on the 28th of this month. If you are looking for a one of a kind experience, I would suggest LV. Even If you don't gamble, I don't know of another place where you can see/do all of the things you can do in LV in a single weekend or a few days...
There is plenty to do there but it really depends on whether you like to drink or not. It could be a good trip even if your not into the bar scene but thats what NO is famous for. The French Quarter (includes Burbon st.) has many bars and great music spots. There is evertything from laid back classy jazz bars to clubs. Preservation Hall is a really famous jazz joint right next to Pat OBrien's. There are some other tourist spots too like the old cemetary (cant think of the name) thats in a bunch of movies and some of the weird voodoo stuff. The food is aslo world class. If you want to go all out, Emeril's and Paul Prudhomme's - K-Paul's resturants. Yosemite national park may be another location to consider.
I know that you said you'd already been to Cali, but if you liked Yellowstone, you should definitly check out Yosemite. I spent 3 days there this summer and it was a blast.
Forget Cap Code. Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket is the place to be! Absolutely amazing! We've vacationed there the last three years. Between Memorial day and Labor Day can be a pain (Lot's O' people) but May, June and September are magical. It’s got beautiful beaches, great hiking and biking trails, great nightlife, excellent food, beautiful sunsets, great fishing and water sports and the women are sweet! But be prepared to drop some serious cash. One week rentals for a house can run $1200 to $10,000 dollars. Hotels? Not sure. Costs about $160 round trip to get your car onto the island. (The only way we're able to do it is we have some wonderful friends that have a house on Martha's Vineyard and they are nice enough to let us use it a week out of the year) We usually go the week after Labor Day.
Vancouver/Victoria/Whistler Calgary/Banff/Lake Louise San Diego/Tijauana LA/Grand Canyon Halifax/Cape Breton/ PEI New Orleans/Panama City/ Destin Albequerque/Santa Fe/ Taos US/ British Virgin Islands Costa Rica or Belize. Portland/Sun River/Bend Oregon Time and money, car or plane, golf, water sports, outrageousness I've done all of the above and couldn't pick the one best.
