I knew it and been calling it no matter what direction we go Tilman is going to get the blame.

If we sign a big name coach...oh he just wanted a big splash and make headlines.

If we get a young up and coming coach...oh I knew it Tilman would be cheap.

Smh...damn if he’s does and damned if he don’t smh.

Silas was on their list back in 2016, and a lot of people thought we may go that route. He's pretty loved even by players around the league from what I've read. I wouldn't mind if we went that route. Son of Paul Silas, Golden State Warriors pedigree, worked with Steph, coached under Carlisle... the pedigree is pretty damn good.

I still believe a veteran HC who was won a ring is the right choice for this team who is in win now mode, and who's stars are over 30.

But Silas does have almost 20 years experience as an assistant and is a second generation NBA coach, he's also been part of teams with winning cultures and stars. If we have to go with an assistant; which I would prefer not to over having a veteran coach who has championship experience, I would go with him though.

I wanted Silas before we got MDA, so I hope we go that route.

    • While the Rockets have interest in Doc Rivers, they’re also preparing to schedule meetings with several other candidates for their head coaching job. According to Feigen, Houston had planned to begin scheduling those interviews by this Wednesday and Thursday, and the club’s list of candidates is expected to include Tyronn Lue, Jeff Van Gundy, Kenny Atkinson, Wes Unseld Jr., Stephen Silas, and perhaps Sam Cassell.

dodged a bullet there. Lue is also reportedly in the lead for the clippers job.

JVG is a bit far fetched. either will be too expensive, or the rumors of James not wanting him are true, or he's actually not interested in returning to coaching... or all of the above.

it will come down to Silas, Cassell, Atkinson, or Unseld jr. The only remaining names on the interview list.

That dumbass spent too much for the team in the first place and got cheap when the Rockets were on the cusp of a championship. Then, the fool forces into a panic trade for Westbrook. Every bit of blame he gets he deserves.

If that’s the case Morey is leading this thing just like Tilman said.

Again Trevor got PAID PAID by Phoenix.
Again we gave up a lot but if you can trade Chris Paul for Westbrook I’m making the trade everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Westbrook > cp3 period.

And don’t forget there was a lot of posters complaining about cp3 and his age and his injury history and his contract saying we where stuck with him and his bloated contract and complaining we had to play 40+ million for an over the hill injury prone cp3.

So I hope you weren’t one of them...since your complaining about the trade for Russ.

Nope. I am not going to let you get away with this ahistorical bullsh!t. Pull up a chair.

The Rockets not only traded away assets *and* draft picks to dump salary, but they did not spend their full MLE in the prime of Harden's career. That's indefensible. On no planet is James f-ing Ennis a reasonable replacement for Ariza. The thing about his big contract, though? The Suns were able to move it for Kelly Oubre later on. In forcing the ridiculous Westbrook trade, the team also passed on picking up Jerami Grant, or any of the other young wing players on the Thunder roster. Morey didn't have the bullets in the chamber to build a reasonable bench and that falls completely on Tilman.

If Pacers and Pelicans hire HC not named D'Antoni, what happens then?

Doc Rivers doesn't seem to have us at the top of his list and that's all I needed to know to confirm my bias against this organization.

Hire Kenny Atkinson, Dave Joerger or Chris Finch. Analytics based guys who have all been head coaches at one stage or another.
