like jon stewart, and chris matthews, you left out the rest of her answer, but then, why be accurate when you can be partisan? as for the contention i use race to evaluate her, perhaps you're right, but it's hard to argue she's not qualified. you seem determined to deny that one can be qualified, balck, AND a republican though, which, if not racist is at least exceedingly patronizing.
speaking of partisan, that is patently unfair. I don't even like SamFisher, but never has he said anything like that, and you know it. He asked why her race was important to people when evaluating her performance. It shouldn't be, ideally. Overall, I think it's very cool to see a woman of color in her position, and I do think it denotes progress (albeit slow) for our society overall.
Okay, fine. I won't stick up for you. You are the nuggest of all posters, by the way. I am nugger than some, true, but the shameful superlative title goes to you.
I detect a hint of irony coming from a porven nuggest himself! If you can provide a hint of poorf for this allegation, perhaps you can rehab your shady reputation, though a true panda never changes its pattern....
-actually, i think he has implied it several times. -i've said exactly this several times. -couldn't agree more.
Well, your attacks against me are finally paying off. Look at what someone just posted to me in the "Magic Number" thread of the GARM forum: So clearly, the chicken comment is making fun of my days as a wearer of costumes. It's really not fair.
Why doesn't the media jump all over this: I think the simple and most plausible answer is: "Who the heck is Chris Dodd?" Trent Lott was majority leader... talking about a guy who ran for president on a segregationist platform. What Dodd said was stupid, yes. Will it get coverage? Maybe as the echo chamber warms up, but there are a lot more important things getting coverage right now. In the bigger picture, is this comment as important as Iraq and what's going on there? Is it bigger than the 9/11 commission?
Well, looks like somebody couldn't take the heat after getting some return fire in the GARM and went crying to Rockets management. Typical B-Snob.
B-Bob and Sam, Either get a room or shut up. Your pseudo bickering about costumes and the like is not as funny as you think it is. More like disturbing. Every time I read that crap I need to bathe myself in bleach before I feel clean. Thank you.
Oh no, thank you. Really. I'm so sorry about those bleach baths, but it's a fine way to exfoliate. So let's get back to this fascinating comparison of Dodd to Lott. I have noted with interest that both of their last names contain four letters with a consonant-vowel-double-consonant structure! And before someone beats me to the punch, YES, I also noticed that their first names each contain five letters: one vowel, four consonants. I wonder what their astrological signs are?
Maybe it is like X and Y chromosomes, only in this case, that pattern of vowels and consonants (with the vowel being an "O") makes people racist. Good thing your name isn't Bobb.
So, am I the anti-racist? Or just one slight exchange of letters from being a full-on racist? Anyway, I think you're on to something here. Makes me wonder about Cobb and guys named Matt. Finally, this thread is on track.
basso, That is an excellent point. Is Trent a shortened form? Trentathon? Trentifer? If it's not a shortened form, my whole theory is in trouble! But the eerie connection of the last names is intact.
Trenton, perhaps? sounds kinda gay, maybe that explains the fear and loathing that rests deep in his heart- he's in denial!
Well, that's an interesting issue. According to www.babynames.com, ... Trent is derived from German, and it means "thirty," while Trenton is derived from Latin, and it means "town by the rapids." Perhaps a simple phonecall would clear this up. Think that would land me on any of the "keep an eye on this freak" lists?
